Rating: Summary: A Rip Roarin' Good Read..... Review: "Very Boring Alligator/came one day to play,/but he stay-stay-stayed,/and HE WOULDN'T GO AWAY./ I huffed and I sighed./I made heebie-jeebie eyes./But that Boring Alligator,/he just WOULDN'T GO AWAY." What does a little girl do to get rid of an unwanted guest? Begging didn't work. Pleading didn't work. Moaning and groaning and looking scary didn't work. Even calling the Gator Cops didn't work. It just added to the problem. Finally, frustrated and angry, she takes charge, and succinctly tells them all to STOP! and GO! and they finally "get it". "Now/Gator comes to play/only when I say,/and at the end of play I say, 'Please go away.'/And Gator goes away, right away./Cause I'm the Boss of Play/every day!" Jean Gralley has written a charming and energetic picture book that just begs to be read aloud. Her engaging, rhyming text is full of humor, sound effects, alliteration, wordplay and motion, and is complemented with bold, eye-popping, expressive illustrations that will delight and amuse young and old alike. Perfect for youngsters 4-8, Very Boring Alligator is an entertaining, manic romp that shouldn't be missed.

Rating: Summary: HILARIOUS! Review: That very boring alligator will not go away! He will not leave this child's couch. Not when she asks him pretty please. Not when she makes heebie-jeebie eyes. What's a gal to do? Call the Gator Raiders of course! But will this solve the poor girl's problem, or did she just invite more trouble in? This book is a laugh out loud look at how a young child takes matters into her own hands. Great for preschool empowerment segments!
