Warm, patient, and caring, Old Badger takes the time to be with Little Badger and to share his years of experience. A heartwarming, father/child relationship is explored through Bunting's splendid use of dialogue and modeling. A young child's version of Eve's The Man Who Could Call Down Owls or Kristine Franklin's The Old, Old Man and the Very Little Boy.
