Summary: Reflects life in today's world
Review: This adorable prayer book by one of my favorite publishers of Eyewitness Kids books and adult travel guides (Dorling Kindersley) is a lovely book of prayers that reflects children's lives in today's world. Prayers like "I am Learning to Read," "We are Moving Today" and "Help Grandpa Feel Better" do a good job of helping children relate prayer to daily living. Large, colorful photos of kids being, well, kids, and photos of family members, natural subjects such as birds and fish, and children's toys and bedrooms all come to life on the clean white pages DK is famous for. I just ordered this book for our church library--it impressed me that much. Oh, yes, there are also prayers for Easter and Christmas. This is obviously a Christian Book and would not be appropriate for children of other faiths, unless they choose to ignore the Christian religious seasonal prayers. The children depicted in the photos are of all races.
