Summary: single parent
Review: After reading the review from Barbara Buckley, from the Rockville Centre Library in New York, it sparked something inside me to right a review of my own. There aren't a lot of books I can share with my child on the subject of single parenting, so I'm happy this one came along. My situation is different in that I'm a single father dealing with my child's absentee mother. The book deals with a tough subject which I can assure you is even tougher in real life. It's wonderfully written and illustrated and does what I expect for this book to do...reinforce to my son that he is not alone and it will be OK because he'll always have me...something I can never say enough throughout the day...and thanks to "GOODNIGHT DADDY", before bedtime as well.

Apparently Ms. Buckley won't be carrying this book in her library. How unfortunate for the parents of Rockville.

Review: I thought this was a terrific book! I've been there and it was wonderful to see that Phoebe had a good feeling about herself and that she was still able to go on whether her dad came to visit or not.

Summary: ATTENTION ALL PARENTS, NOT JUST SINGLE PARENTS!
Review: This is the best book I have ever read to remind all parents that no matter how angry we get at our partners and most likely for good reason we must remember that children don't see things that way. Children love both parents perfectly and forever, no matter what.

It's important for us to remember our own childhoods when our parents were arguing or having problems. We never knew who was right or wrong. Even if we did, it didn't change the way we felt about either of them. We only saw two people we loved with all our hearts. This book helps kids deal with disappointing parents and helps the parent who is left behind to pick up the pieces. It is a great tool when these things happen. It also helps single parents when the other parent doesn't show up when they are supposed to.

Single parents and households with two parents alike should buy this book. It enlightens us to the world as our children see it.

I loved it and will read it to my children over and over. I live in a household with two parents and it still applies here. I really admire the mother in this book.

SHE IS MY NEW HERO.

Review: What a wonderful and touching book. The words tug on the heart strings while the pictures bring it to life. I think there's a little bit of "Phoebe" in all of us and this beautifully illustrated book let's you know it will all be ok. If it's true that a picture is worth a thousand words, then this book is worth 40,000. It's a must have for every family.
