Review: Even winter-loving people feel an excitement as spring draws near. This story looks at nature coming to life in the spring. As the sun warms the earth, each participant from the worm to the baby wakes up the next until the whole family is awake and enjoying the day. The illustrations are wonderfully bursting with playfulness and joy. Though fun to read anytime, this would be a mood-lifting book in the doldrums of winter.
