Summary: DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE READING LEVEL!
Review: Although this book is recommended for eight-year-olds, the plot and some of the dialougue would be hard for them to understand. I am an avid fifteen-year-old reader and found this book wonderful! Almost as well written as "The Devil's Storybook" and "Tuck Everlasting".
