Rating: Summary: NOT TIRED ENOUGH FOR BED? Review:
This tiny rainbow of a book geared for the very, very young is intended for those who don't seem tired enough to go to bed. Leo Lionni's irresistible little mouse has all kinds of suggestions for them from playing ball to reading a book. By the time they see all the energy he's expending they may decide they need a rest, too. After all, they've been playing all day and now the moon is high.
While not exactly an original premise, Lionni's warm illustrations make Let's Play worthwhile.
Rating: Summary: Simple but Sweet Review: Okay, if you are over the age of 3 you may find this book beneath you. But, wasn't that the intent of the author? To put together a simple but sweet book that would keep the attention, and even entertain our beginning readers? Well, he did just that! My 21-month-old boy just adores this book and wants it read to him again, and again, and again, and again! It is a great way to introduce our young ones to the wonderful world of reading. This book has my vote for baby's best friend.
