Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book to my seven year old.
The first two chapters, I wondered if the book was going to go anywhere biblically (it is in story form). As we entered into the 3rd chapter the book started going places.
It is a small book that might typically be read in two or three evenings, however when we started to get into the book I felt it best to read the whole thing in one evening, so that all of the story would be together and he wouldn't forget anything we read or miss the point.
This book is a good tool for children. It teaches kids that sitting around watching TV is going to be time wasted when we get to heaven (even though it is also time wasted on earth) It teaches that our attitudes are everything.
It teaches that all of the teachings in the bible come together to help us earn rewards in heaven. In order to receive our rewards we need to be forgiving, loving, helpful, etc.
It teaches that even the smallest thing we do today for good will withstand the test in heaven when we stand before Christ to be judged. And when all of the things we did that don't matter burn up (like tv) the good things will be all that remains.

We enjoyed this book. My 7 year old understood and remained captivated throught the entire book. This book did have a section in the back for parents and I feel that after reading it was a great opportunity for discussion.

Overall after the first two chapters we were VERY pleased and I would highly recommend this book. I already have plans to lend our copy out!
