ABC Pop! (Picture Books)

Summary: POP it is
Review: Although visually striking, this book falls short of meeting the criteria of a good ABC learning book. The pictures used to represent the letter sounds were not always the first word that comes to a child's mind. For example: an artist's palette with pools of paint leads a child to say "paint" instead of "colors" as the artist intended. Dishes of ice cream are "S for sundae", a man playing a trumpet is "M for music" and these are only 2 more examples. "ABC Pop!" is wonderful for its illustrations but there are much better books to teach the ABC's.

Review: I am a school librarian and my class and I are writing this review. Everyone thinks it is a great classic. We have done pictures in the various styles displayed in the book and have had the greatest time. We will be visiting the museum nearest to us which has modern art just to see where Ms. Isadora's inspiration came from. We want to thank her for letting us see the world in a different way.

Review: What a great book!!! I think these drawings belong in a museum. There was a lot of talent and creativity that went into this. I will purchase this book for any children, both young and old, that I know. Thank You Ms. Isadora

Review: What a magnificant book! I am an artist and a father and bought this book for my son Abe and we just love it. It has inspired him to draw in this modern style and I enjoy seeing the results. Right on Ms. Isadora!
