Summary: Familar
Review: "Don't you dare read this Mrs. Dunphrey" By Margaret Peterson Haddix. This book at first was kind of boring it didn't really grab my attention but then i got past the first page and it suddenly got better. I started reading it and it pulled me in. It reminded me of my life. Tish Bonner is the main character she is 16; she has to deal with some of the same things I do in my real life. This book just interested me it; was weird how things were happening to her and it was like I know exactly how she feels. Like she has to try and help around the house because her mom is depressed, because of things that happen between her and Tish's dad. Tish doesn't know what to do about it; she tries to be the grown up and take care of her little brother.
I thought this was a great book because it pulls you into the story and you're thinking "whoa, what would I do?" It makes you feel like you're in her place, and you know how she feels. I could really relate to this book.

Summary: Great Story for Young Adults!
Review: Don't You Dare Read This, Mrs. Dunphrey, by Margaret Peterson Haddix is a great story that any young adult should read. The story is about a brave young girl who does everything to protect her brother and mom against the cruelty of her father. At her young age, she learns to confront the problems of the real world and is forced to be responsible for her house and little brother. She is put in a situation where she can't tell her secrets to anyone, the only option she has is to let everything out on a journal. She shares her every thought, plan, and reality with the journal she had to turn in to her teacher. Sweat and chills would go through her body every time she had to turn in her special journal; her journal of secrets. But in the end she and her little brother were able to survive the harsh conditions they went through and their lives made a sudden change that led them to happiness; for once. I learned a lot from this harsh situation, and by the way Margaret sequences the events it makes it an exciting story that you don't want to stop reading.

Summary: DO read this.....
Review: I recently read Don't You DARE Read this Mrs. Dunphrey a few weeks ago. I thought this was a sad, yet thrilling book telling a young girl's (Tish) struggle with life. Mrs. Dunphrey assigned her English class to write in a journal once a week, but if they marked the top of their entry DON'T READ THIS, then she wouldn't read the entry. Tish gives her a few tests; then begins with her life. Her abusive father left her family when she was younger, but comes back later on. Tish must soon take care of her younger brother, Matt when their mother leaves them. She has no money, except what little she makes from a local burger resturant. I highly reocommend this story to anyone who is interested in a great book!

Summary: Don't You Dare Read This Mrs. Dunphrey
Review: In the book Don't You Dare Read This Mrs. Dunphrey is written by Marget Peterson Haddix. I like this book because it had a good moral to the story. In this book one of the main characters is Tish Booner, she is one of those girls that have big hair, who sits in the back of the classroom passing notes. In her English class she has to warite 3 journal entrys a week for Mrs. Dunphrey. In this book every page is writen as if it was real jounal. Mrs. Dunphrey let her students choose if they wanted her to read it, but in every teens life they have to deal with school work, and a home life too. In Tishes case she had to keep her friends. My opinion about this book is that Tish's family is making Tish grow up ti fast, and making her loose her child hood. After I read this book I felt very happy about my life!

Summary: Dont You Dare Read this Mrs. Dunphrey
Review: The book "Don't You Dare Read This Mrs. Dunphrey" was great. The author Margaret Peterson Haddix. Every page in it was told as if it was a journal. It was a socialogical social class type of book. It was about a low class family that didn't have a lot of money. The main character Tish has to write 3 journal entries a week for her english class. The teacher said that if she didn't want her reading them to mark don't you dare read this Mrs. Dunphrey. While doing school work she also has to take care of her brother, work, and keep her friends. I enjoyed the book alot although I thought that it kind of ended quickly. It was at the climax and then it just ended all of a sudden. I would recommend it to any kids, boys or girls from 12 to 16. .... Check out this book if you want to know.

Summary: Don?t you dare read this Mrs.Dunphrey
Review: This book is really good. Haddix has got to be one of the best authors ever. This book is very realistic to a real diary.

Tish faces issues that a girl her age shouldn't have to face. She takes up a responsibility that she shouldn't have until she's much, much older. But she thinks she can handle it all on her own, and she won't let any of her friends or teacher's know what's up.

This is a compelling novel. It's very short, but definately worth reading. I've recommended it to all of my friends. It's a GREAT book.

Summary: Grateful For Your Life
Review: This is a wonderful book. Now I'm not much of a book worm, but I do like to read at times. I am mainly into some horse books. But, I can get into a non horse book, if I try. My school teacher asked us to read this book. And I am glad that she introduced me to this book. After reading this book, I now realize that not everyone's life is so perfect. People have tons of problems in school, and out. And sometimes, we don't even know about it. They hide it from you. I can relate, because I myself, have a secret. But it's not like Tish's.

You can learn alot from this book. And also learn alot about yourself. My quote to you is, "Never hold yourself in. Write it down, or tell someone about your problems. Before it's to late."
