Summary: Review of Tasha Tudor's "First Graces"
Review: This little collection of short prayers (21 in all) is absolutely wonderful. Many are familiar, old prayers that you will surely recognize, but many are not so well-known. Tasha Tudor's illustrations are just BEAUTIFUL and inspiring. There are different prayers for special occasions, such as, 'A Birthday Grace' and 'For Thanksgiving', and an everyday prayer, 'For School'. Most of the prayers are, as the title suggests, graces, to be said at mealtime. My children rush to get First Graces out of the drawer to say the prayer at dinner-time. The book has been very special to our whole family, with verses simple enough for the kids to understand, and powerful enough to move us all. It's a tiny, sweet gem.
