Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Review: Young listeners will enjoy this short version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The use of loose verse (one of the sections does not rhyme very well) will delight the very young. The words flow very easily off the pages to make this a delightful read aloud. This book is designed for young children, 24 months and up.

The most unique feature of this book, is the use of lift the flaps. By using the flaps, pages are fewer. After reading what Goldilocks does in the bear's house, the reader lifts the flap to see the what happened. The flaps are created so that when the flap is completely opend, the page looks different. The inside illustration on the flap, when folded completely open, melds into the page illustration beautifully while showing a new detail.

Other flaps throughout the book, show little animals, or other interesting details.

This is a very good use of lift the flaps. Great read to for young children, and fun for older children.
