Summary: Who's the Real Monster?
Review: The beginning of this book is funny and scary. As I read it, I began to wonder who the "real" monster was in this story. I saw the old movie and liked it, but the writer of this story puts a different twist on the old tale. The Creature is really not bad, but he is pretty scary if you make him mad -- which Captain Bob does. Of course, Captain Bob makes everybody mad. Captain Bob meets a new friend named Trey, who is pretty cool -- now Nina has three "freshmen" boys to put up with. The story kept me reading until the end. What I like about all these stories so far is that the writer uses some of the old movies mixed with real teenagers and modern settings. He also is good at putting humor in some scary scenes. Sometimes I didn't know if I should laugh or scream or do both. This is the third book in the series and if you haven't read the first two books, you must!
