Review: The illustrations and content of this book are totally captivating. As only Astrid Lindgren can do, she tells a tale with humor and touches your heart as well. My daughter and I discovered this book in our public library and checked it out often, only to be dismayed when it was "lost". We tried in vain to find a copy, until striking it rich on this website a couple years ago. I felt I had found a treasure, and was so happy to have my "new" out-of-print book in my hands. We still enjoy it every bit as much. As with any well-written story, it appeals to all ages. This book may have you chuckling and crying in one sitting. Don't miss it. By the author of the much-loved Pippi Longstocking books.
