Summary: Classical Cindy Take Two
Review: Good show, Syrinx. As always you just have that right witty remark to say -- I could just see Champion as Cindy's personal guinea pig (Too bad he wouldn't do what some g. pigs do and bite ) but aye, there's something too freaking abrupt in the beginning of the story -- Arabian Challenge is like that too -- where all of a sudden, something is happening. And BOOM, just like that, you're thrown into the plot without any clue of what just is happening except some freakish accident. After all, a clue about why Honor might be going spazzy wouldn't have been too much trouble... but there's Bently for you. And what's with Jeremy? He didn't really seem that bad, but of course, he just /had/ to be Lavinia's cousin which made him an automatic jerk and a 'bad guy'

Summary: why is Cindy being so stubborn?
Review: I have been reading Thoroughbred since I was 11 (I'm 18 now) and I really liked this book. It wasn't the best, but it was okay. I have only one problem. How come Samantha is 20, when in book 22, she was 21. Also, to the reviewer who compared this series to tabloids, have you ever read them? I mean come on. That is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever heard. Anyone who says that needs to have her head re-screwed on.

Summary: i havent read it yet but....
Review: i havent read this book and to tell you the truth im not sure if i want to. I only need a few more books in the seris and i will have the whole collection. this book happens to be one of them. But why i am not looking forward to this book is b/c of cindy. i have hated her since when she first came into the seris. She is a spoiled little brat. first she has glory, then she moves on to storm, then its champion, then its honor, well you get the point. i take care of 3 horses and i love them so0o0o0o much i would never EVER forget about them if something was to happen to them. but not cindy...no she just moves right along! and i think its crazy that she can beat ashleigh, the all time greatest jockey ever!! HELLO wake up...ashleigh has been racing for how long and cindy had only raced like what 2 races before...? and another thing about cindy... whatever horse she takes care of its automatically hers! no i dont think so. and when ash told her that they arent cindy's horses, cindy blows up at poor ash. if it werent for ash, samantha, ian, and beth then cindy wouldnt be there! i think cindy should be greatful that she can work with such wonderful horses. not be a spoiled brat about it! but i do love the seris so i think i will buy all the books i need to complete my collection. i reccomend the whole seris to any one. i have been a loyal reader for almost 5 years now. another great (and for those of you who want more realistic book about horses)seris is the Heartland seris. they have told me alot about horses! and they are very catching...once you start you cant put them down, i have the whole seris. ok i think my 1000 words are almost up now...

Summary: Cindy's Honor
Review: I really miss Ashleigh and Samantha, what's with cindy? I mean she was okay in the start, though I could tell something wasn't right, then I found that Joanna had stopped writing and it was someone else! that's where the difference came in, it wasn't Joanna's writing style at all, thought I'm sure Bentley did her best. It's just that Cindy seems so...I don't know snobbish? I mean, every good horse has to be her's. And I thought thi series was about Ashleigh? Then Samantha? when someone starts focusing to much on one character like Cindy, it throws the whole thing off. The series started with Ash and Sammy, I thought Sammy and Tor would get married! (Though in Super Addition Samantha's Journey, I find out that they do!) Anyways, I just wish more of the stories could be focused back on the favourites.
Thanks, Kee

Summary: This Book is one of Bentley's best!
Review: I think this book was so much better thaen any of Bentley's books! I ahev the whole TB series and got this book today. in this book Cindy tells about the accident from her point of view. Then it tells abotu Cindy's rehab afterwards. Ashliegh gets pergnent again so she hires Livina's cousin to jockey Honor. He almost ruins her so Cindy forces herself to ride honor even though she may injur her arm again. They win of course. In the next book time warps so that Christina is the main charcter and she loves jumping.

Summary: Classic Cindy
Review: This book began so weird. I couldn't really pinpoint what it was about this book that really made me squirm until maybe two minutes ago. I think it's just that it thrusts you right into the story with no subtle reminders of where you are and who these people are that you're reading about. All the previous books take some time to tell you a little about the previous life. This one doesn't do that. Honor is just suddenly falling down and Cindy is breaking her arm. There is no mention of what Champion has been up to at all. He just seems to be in stasis until Cindy decides to pull him, him of all horses, out of the stall and use him as her personal guinea pig. Ugh. And what is with Cindy being the only one knowing that the new jockey isn't worth their time? Oh, wise and experienced Cindy can tell them where they're wrong. I'm sure writing Cindy is a challenge, but it could have been done so much better.

Review: This book is definitely one of the best in the Thoroughbred series. It really tells what its like to have a horse that you have a very special bond with. I would definitely recommend it!!!

Summary: The series is tipping
Review: This book was a little more than average. Karen Bentley had a REALLY BIG job taking over right where there was new character and a new racing censation. The part about Cindy always acting as if she owned the horses confuses me. When I bought read a bit of Wonder's Champion and she say "no matter what happens he'll still be my colt" I say (and I quote) "HUH?" I thought "oh, she probably got handed half interest in him like Ashleigh and Wonder. But she didn't and I'm confused. I REALLY like the Thoroughbred series, but I think Joanne Campbell made a BIG mistake by writing "Ashleigh's Christmas Miracle" because it kind of gave TB a dead end. She probably didn't think the series would go this far, but it did, and now they're stuck. Is Jazz Goddess still going to be born? And how long is Wonder going to live? The series is on the verge of plumiting into the pit of forgotteness because now they have an overlap. I think they will be shortening the time periods of books so they can focus on parts of Christina's life so that it doesn't get boring because we already know what's happening. I really hope they still have a lot of the focus on racing. People like the series because it is about riders who know they're stuff, so that the readers aren't reading about a conquest to learn how to ride (if you want that read Saddle Club and PonyTails, PonyPals) but a quest to win the Triple Crown, keep great race horses alive (not mention any names Pride and Glory) and to win races and breed great fillies and colts. That's why people like the series. But if all of a sudden it's about Christina learning to ride, *YAWN* boring! Ashleigh's Christmas Miracle wasn't boring though, because Christina was majorly competing and stuff. Any way, this isn't much of a review, because it's about the future, oh well!

Summary: Good Book
Review: This was a really good book, but I am a little confussed. I know Honor is Princess's daughter, but in another book, before Honor was old enough to race it says Honor is Wonder's daughter. I don't know if anyone else noticed this and I'm not sure what book it said that in, but it confussed me. Also, Cindy acts like a major expert in this book. She just has to wait until her arm heals, not ride Champion and risk shattering it. And really, do you think Cindy would be the only one to notice what Jeremy was doing. I really think that part of the book was stupid, well it was the plot.
