Summary: I like the new books but, I miss the racing!
Review: I do like #24 and #25 but, I miss the racing! For one Cindy and Samantha were my favorite characters, and now Sammy moved to Ireland and Cindy is completly out of it! I also want to know what happened to Honor Bright. I think Christina is really a brat, and Melanie has barely any horse-knoledge what so ever. I miss the racing series, it was the only one out there. 3-day-eventing is cool, but I like racing even more because I can't race a horse, that's the only way I have of getting the feel of it. Melanie's Treasure is sort of about racing and I'd recomend this book, but I want books that have complete racing and racing problems like in Pride's last race #10. Half of the book is about how Melanie never wants to ride again. That's not what readers want. Johanna Cambell where are you?

Summary: Better
Review: I gave this book an eight because it was better than The Horse of Her Dreams. But, these books still needs a few minor adjustments. Please consider these following suggestions. I have read all the books in the series plus many reviews on this book, the book before, and even the later books. here are my suggestions: 1)when you describe a race tell whats happening such as The anouncer saying: Ashleigh Griffen has let him all the way out the fractions set are blistering can March To Glory keep it up (Glory's race in the Classic was described in this fashion in Glory's Rival) 2)Talk about racing alot that's what people liked in the series before if you still want eventing in the series talk about racing one book eventing in the next add short updates of eventing in the racing books and vice versa 3)I suggest that Alison Estes reads some of the earlier books, you know get a feel for the parts everyone loved and see why the series was so special This is what I think you should do to keep the series from crashing and burning.I think most other readers would agree. Sincerly A concerned reader P.S.please consider these suggestions.

Review: Melanie is the best. After her favorite horse is killed in an accident that Melanie thinks is her fault, Melanie finds it hard to fit in in Kentucky, where her father sent her. Melanie never wants to fall in love with a horse again. But Melanie finds Pirate, a black TB stallion who has a problem. Everyone else gives up on him and puts him in the pasture, where he is miserable, but Melanie knows there winner in him. Will Melanie give up on Pirate, or will she rise above the rest and find Pirate's problem? READ THIS BOOK!!!!!

Summary: Unknown Champion
Review: Melanie's Treasure is my favorite Thoroughbred book. Everyone thinks Mel knows nothing about horses, but she does. She workes some miracles with a horse named Pirate Treasure, and they instantly bond. The trainer, Ian McLean, puts Pirate out to pasture because he bumped 2 mares, one on the track and one in workouts. Then they decide to geld him. In the end, Melanie discoveres that he is blind! I love this book because the outcome is always surprising.

Summary: wow people!
Review: Wait a sec. You guys think that Melanie is stuck up? Think of how you would feel if you were in her shoes. You made a stupid MISTAKE, (yes, it was a mistake, do you think she'd kill her fave horse on purpose?)and your fave horse was killed, then you were sent someplace you had never been, with someone you aren't completely fond of, losing your routine, home, family, and best friend? Wouldn't you just be the teensiest upset? I mean, you don't just go,"oops, I killed my favorite horse, oh well, where's the next one I can ride?" No way, that doesn't happen, even though you people who are stuck up snobs and only care about what you like want it to go that way. I am very dissapointed that the readers who claim to love horses can't find the deep meaning in this book. A closing comment- GO ALLISON ESTES! P.S. I have been to Clarebrook riding academy, which is actually Claremont, and now know that Rameses and Milky way are real life horses. Pretty cool! And I got to meet allison, who is very nice, and HAS read all the thoroughbred books. P.P.S. I agree with one reader, Cindy was such a snob that Allison was smart to cut her out of the books!
