Summary: More fun than 7 League Boots
Review: I bought this book at school in 1973, and read it dozens of times as a child. I never grew tired of the story. Even though it has been more than 20 years since I last read this book, I can still remember most of the things the witch left... Just thinking about the story makes me feel young, curious, and happy. This book stands with the better-known classics. I can't imagine why it has ever gone out of print.

Summary: Fond Childhood Memories
Review: I bought this through the Scholastic Book program in school and read this book when I was 9 or 10 in the 70s. It was the first book I really remember enjoying so passionately and reading several times. I loved it so much and searched high and low to find the title to be able to give it to my daughter this Christmas. Ruth Chew creates a wonderful adventure that fill you with anticipation and excitement.

Review: I have been looking high & low for this book. It was one of my favorite books as a child! I read it when I was about 9 in 1977! Now I want to find a copy not only for myself but also for my niece who is about the same age.

Hope Amazon can find 2 copies for me!

Review: I read this book when I was in 2nd grade, and I'm now in 7th grade. I read this book 2 or 3 times. I cannot find it now. It was only $.99 in a book order from school. It was the best. I still remember what happened. Buy it as soon as you find it.

Summary: What The Witch Left
Review: I read this book when I was young, and it is probably the one I remembered the most. I had my 11 year old son read it years later in 2000, and he enjoyed it! Said it was a little girly, but liked the adventure!!

Summary: More than any other book
Review: I'm amazed how often the story from this book comes to mind . . . decades after I last read it! It is such a wonderful tale of adventure and friendship and discovery. And I have always been one who easily misplaces things . . . and I'm always wishing I had that little box I could go to and find my lost keys, etc.! And I have told so many people in my life about that little box and how I wish I had one. I also think about the boots, and the gloves. I wish they would reprint this book so I could share the story with my children (other than just from memory) and give it to all of my nieces and nephews!

Summary: A Magical Girl's Adventure!
Review: Like the characters who discovered magical objects in a forgotten chest, I happened upon a dusty old copy of this book in my school library--and what a wonderful adventure lay before me! This book is one of my all-time favorites and I know many women from my generation feel the same. (I remember realizing my college room-mate and I would be great friends once we discovered we both fondly remembered this book.) Ruth Chew had strong young ladies as her lead characters long before it was in vogue. I am sad to see this book is out of print, I think this delightful story about two friends on a magical adventure is timeless.

Summary: What the Witch Left
Review: My sister and I both read this book as children and realized as adults that it stood out as favorites for both of us. How could it be out of print when it is obviously a stand out in so many girl's childhoods? I remember it as a magical book and it had me wishing that I would find an adventure like it lurking in some dusty corner of my house.
