Summary: There is No Children's Book Finer!
Review: A Few of my favorite childhood memories are the many times My Aunt read this fabulous children's book to me. I must have had her read it many times. She loves this book and we still quote it, and I still read my copy all the time, even though I am eighteen. Now My Aunt's Step-Son has a baby boy and My Aunt is desperate because she wants this same book for her Step-Grandson, but sadly, it is Out of Print. I suggest that anybody who wants to see a re-print edition, click on the link "e-mail a friend about this book," and then send a message to feedback@harpercollins.com and in the space where you add a personal message, please indicate how much you want the book back in print.

Summary: I loved this book as a kid!
Review: For as long as I can remember, I've always loved books. So it was with great surprise and joy that I happened to stumble on this book on your website! I had completely forgotten about it. This was one of my favorite books as a kid and I am hoping it will be a favortite of my children also. I highly recommend it as an enjoyable before bedtime read and/or for rainy days.

Summary: Back in Print!
Review: I am delighted that this book is back in print! I enjoyed it emmensely as a child and now I read it to my son. The rhymes are appealing to children of a wide age range and the illustrations are splendid.

Truly a classic of the same caliber as Where the Wild Things Are or Make Way for Ducklings. An excellent gift that should be found on every child's bookshelf.

Summary: Dilly, dilly, Picalilly...
Review: I'll tell you something very silly... I still read these and my son is 10 years old! This book is silly, beautiful, fun, and sophisticated and deserves to be reprinted.

Summary: An American Treasure.....
Review: Meet Father Fox, he's as American and down-home as apple pie and the Fourth of July, dressed in his overalls, and he's here to entertain. "The sky is dark, there blows a storm/Our cider is hot, the fire is warm/The snow is deep & the night is long:/Old Father Fox, will you sing us a song?" Vermont sisters, Clyde and Wendy Watson wrote this marvelous collection of country life poems thirty years ago and it's as fresh and wonderful today, as it was then. Their joyous lilting rhymes are always witty, sometimes silly or sad, funny or even a bit rude and full of rhythm, energy and motion. The busy and expressive water color and pen illustrations are full of humorous detail and youngsters will be fascinated as they pore over the artwork watching the antics of Father Fox, his family and friends. Father Fox's Pennyrhymes is a treasure and a timeless classic to read and share with those you love and then hand down to the next generation. "Soft falls the snow/The coals burn low/Little Jacob's asleep on my knee;/My story ends here/For midnight is near:/To bed now, one-two-three!"

Summary: This book is one of my most cherished possessions!
Review: My cousin and I bought our original copies in the 70's. Our children loved it, and we still quote it. We now read it to our grandchildren. Please encourage the publisher to reprint this book. The values it teaches are sorely needed in today's increasingly violent and cynical society. Through its pages children can visit a gentler and simpler time and place.

Summary: The most wonderful book for a child!
Review: My nephew Robert, loved this book as a child. His mother kept checking it out of the library for him. My kids now have a copy of it, which I still read aloud sometimes even though my youngest baby is now nine-and-a-half. I think I may have bought a few copies as gifts for babies last time it was in print. I'd buy another million today, as well as some copies for grandchildren someday. Please encourage the publisher to make more.

Summary: One of our children's all-time favorite books
Review: Our three children all adored this book. They (at 32, 30, and 22) STILL have many verses committed to memory - as do I!

Oh my goodness, oh my dear
Sassafras and ginger beer
Chocolate cake and apple punch
I'm too full to eat my lunch!

and

Ride your red horse down Vinegar Lane
Gallop, oh gallop, oh gallop again
Thistles and foxholes and fences beware
I've seventeen children, but none I can spare

and

Thomas Thomas Tinkertoes
Upside down and away he goes
He's off to call upon the queen
In blue and crimson velveteen

Anyway, I could go on and on with these playful and wonderful words - and the illustrations are incredibly winsome and witty! Kids love them, but the adult eye will understand their true delight!

This is a great gift for a young child!

Summary: Here's a poetry book nobody can do without!
Review: This is a wonderful poetry book with excellent poems and cartoons of a family of nineteen foxes. I bought a copy of Catch me and Kiss me and Say it Again when my son was a baby. Later I found a copy of Father Fox's pennyrhymes at the library at Virginia Tech. I knew I needed a copy of my own, so I bought one in paperback. I am heartbroken that it is out of print, because I want to buy copies for grandchildren one day. Re-print it please!
