Summary: Greatest Book Ever
Review: Ok, This book was pretty good-i love the jumping books, but i love the racing so much more! I got a thoroughbred book for christmas one year (the forbidden stallion)And i loved it...so i went to my library and took out A Horse Named Wonder (Makes sense to start at the beginning right?) and i loved it...it really got me into horses and horse racing....now i take horseback riding lessons, competing in my first show soon, and am thinking about being an exsersice rider....the books with Christina are ok, but what happened to cindy, max, len, tor, sammy, mandy, and everyone else and their horses? These books are great-and we should not critisize thier authors (how would you like your work critisized?) but i really miss the racing books! Please go back to racing-alot of people would like it!

Summary: Not NEARLY as good as the beginning of the series...
Review: Ok. This book is nice. But what happened here? The Thoroughbred Series started out fantastically. I couldn't wait for the next one to come out. But now, each book gets worse and worse. The Thoroughbred Series barely EVER talks about racing horses anymore; it's just Christina and jumping. And what happended to all the great characters? Samantha dissapeared, Heather, Mandy, Tor, and all those people. I haven't heard about Caroline or Rory for the LONGEST time. Cindy disapeared, and whatever happened to Brad and Lavinia? If anyone knows what happened to all the missing characters, please e-mail me. I really wish that these last few books were more like the first ones.

Summary: Greatest Book Ever
Review: This book is exellent if your a horseback rider like me! Christina Reese is an eighth grader. From her strawberry blond hair to her riding boots she is all rider. Her parents own a racing stable and her mother is a profecianal race horse jockey, but Christina doesn't want to race horses. She begged her mom to buy her Sterling a 4 year old racing mare. The first 2 weeks Christina has Sterling,Sterling is her dream horse, but after that sterling is becoming a nightmare. She's been running out on jumps or rushing them.Christina even broke her rist and lost her nerve to ride Sterling. With the event so close how can she train her horse. Everybody wants a girl name Cassidy Smith to ride Sterling. Christina finally allows her to ride Sterling. This is an exiting story for a horse lover! You have got to read it!

Summary: this book was awsome
Review: This book was great i was always intreasted in jumping than racing. I am glad that they made the part of the series about jumping and evanting ithink Christina is tottley cool. She has a great horses even touugh she is a bit spoiled. I think that it was dumb to traded Legacy for Sterling beacuse Sterling is a bit of a low class horse. I think the real brat was Cassidy and Dylan was dumb enough to look over Christina and invite Cassidy to join the team for the event before dong the math that Chritina would be able to ride. It was dumb of melanie to take Sterling over the Liverpool. With out talking to Christina and almost getting hurt. This was a awesome book

Summary: This was a good book
Review: This is a good book. It wasn't my most favorite, but it was still good. Christina has a tough choice to make. Read this book to find out her choice.

Summary: IT IS EXCITING BUT WHAT HAPPENED?
Review: This is an exciting book and if you like this book, I am positive you will enjoy the Heartland series. I would rate the Heartland series 5 stars. If you like horses like I do, you will be inspired by these books!

Summary: a better read from an older perspective.
Review: true, this book runs in the vein of pretty much every eventing book written for young readers, however, writer allison estes manages to give it a flair.

when i intially read this book i was about 12 years old. it was one of the first books written after the series switched its focus from racing to eventing, and as a fan of the series from back in olden days, i was too upset by this change to read the the book for what it was. however, i was inspired to reread the book because i've recently learned that series will soon be ending, which i think is a real shame. read from the perspective of a 19 year old, i appreciate this book much more, and would like to see more like them.

yes, christina is a very royal brat...but she reminds me of myself, to be honest. brat that she is, she's a spoiled 12 year old. that's how they act. i also thought the way she had to deal with the consequences of her hasty actions and brat-like behavior, as well accept that she made a bad character judgement and acted unacceptabley, was very realistic. but above all, i loved that she had difficulties with sterling, which is definitely a break from a lot of other horse and rider realtionships we've seen in this series.

it may not be a brilliant read, but i appreciated it much more the second time around.

Summary: What happened to Joanna?!?!
Review: What happened to Joanna Campell?! First it was her. Then it was her and Karen Bently And now it's her and this other lady! They made the series with racing and now suddenly it's all jumping! An ocasional book on jumping is ok, but the seriesn is about RACING! Why'd Samantha, Max, Cindy, Tor, And all the other people have to go! They were Some of my favorite people. Why'd Wonder have to stop breeding, too?And Christina is such a brat! She traded Wonder's last foal! I didn't like the Townsends, but what happened to them? In my opinion, this series is going downhill. =(

Summary: IT IS EXCITING BUT WHAT HAPPENED?
Review: What happened? Christina used to be so nice to Sterling, but when Sterling didn't behave perfectly, Christina became an absolute brat! And the old characters are gone.....grr! Really, the new authors should study up on the old generation so they can make it accurate. As for Christina's attitude, if she were a little gentler with Sterling...But never mind. If you like jumping, read it, but it isn't that great if you're looking for the old Thoroughbred characters.
