Rating: Summary: This book's a real treasure. Review: I've always loved Michael Hague's illustrations. Once again, he's made a book a visual pleasure. His art brings the words to life. He's selected wonderful prayers that will appeal to children -- and to any older person reading to them. I'm probably prejudiced, since he included one of my favorites: "God be in my head, and in my understanding. God be in my eyes, and in my looking..." John Rutter wrote a beautiful choral setting of this prayer. I sang it once, and have been looking for the text ever since. The board book means a child can hold and handle the book and "love" it -- helps make prayer part of everyday life (vs something distant or for adults only). A beautiful book -- and affordable.

Rating: Summary: A must for the Christian home! Review: The captivating illustrations alone would have prompted me to purchase this book, but what a joy to find such spirit-lifting content! Included were prayer favorites and some new ones for me. I had bought this book for my toddler but have found it a treasure to share with all the family.
Rating: Summary: An inspirational treasure for both parent and child. Review: This book is beautifully illustrated and is filled with heart warming simple prayers for all occasions. My nineteen month old daughter cherishes every moment with me as I read from each page at bedtime. My daughter is developing a love for books and at the same time is learning to make prayer a part of her life. Many of the prayers bring back my own childhood memories of praying with my Mother and Grandfather.
