Review: My children love this recording and take turns playing "Brer Rabbit" and "Brer Fox." I am personally enthralled by Danny Glover's masterful reading of this story. It is easy to imagine yourself around a fire alongside a slow moving river while you are listening.

Summary: Great Story but not so good illustrations
Review: This is a great story, but the problem with this story is that the illustrations don't quite catch the mood of the story, in my opinion anyway. The illustrations are bizarre in some ways while the mood is so tone down and mellow. This would have been a great story if it wasn't for the illustrations.
