Summary: Great tales of globetrotting with amazing illustrations
Review: Join a vibrant granny as she globe-trots around the world and brings her granddaughter gifts from her travels. It will make you itch for adventure and (without giving too much away) will bring tenderness to your heart.
I read this book to my kindergarten class after a year of "visiting" different countries through literacy, music, art, food, and language. My students thoroughly enjoyed the book ... it gave them a strong sense of accomplishment because they were able to identify each of the countries the grandma visited through the award-winning plastercine illustrations. A must have for any child interested in learning about the world.

Summary: Wonderful for All Ages
Review: This book was Great! My mother bought it for me as a "Gift", (I collect Barbara Reid Books-I'm a clay artist as well), I found the book to be artistically perfect and the story captivating. Another book well done by Barbara Reid!

Summary: Our Gramma travels too
Review: We were introduced to this book and now need one of our own. The tune is lovely, and I recommend getting tape to learn it. Our Gramma travels the world too, and when we read the book it seems to be about her. We are going to make up new verses for other places she has traveled, but it will be hard to match the wonderful rhymes in this book.
