Summary: Wonder's First Race
Review: ''This is to the Julia person who is dumb enough to think that Townsend Prince and Ashleigh's Wonder aren't half siblings. The Prince and Wonder ARE half siblings. The have to have the same SIRE and a different dam, NOT the other way around. You don't know the first thing about horses. YOU ARE HORSE STUPID!!!''

To the poster who posted this, that was completely wrong. The original poster was right: horses are half-siblings if they have the same dam and different sire. If we go by your theory, then 70% of thoroughbreds today are related to each other, because of the Northern Dancer in their lines. Do some research.

Summary: Absolutely one of the best TB books ever! Help SAVE TB!!
Review: "Townsend Prince and Mercy Man are running nose and nose, straining to catch her. What a finish! Can the filly do it? Can this courageous little filly hold them off? They're coming down to the wire..."

In book three Ashleigh, Wonder, and Charlie are headed for the biggest race of their lives. The Kentucky Derby. This book is one of my favorites because of the way that it is written. We learn so much about Brad Townsend, and I can't help but glare when I think about him. Campbell does an amazing job creating a "villain" that has depth and character. You really grow to hate Brad! We also get glimpses of characters that will play a major role in the future of Thoroughbred, like Mike Reese.

Probably the best asset of this book is the race scenes. Each race that is written seems to come alive to me as I read. I can picture Wonder and Jilly struggling down the stretch in the Blue Grass trying valiantly to hang on to the lead under the onslaught of Townsend Prince and Silverghost. The climax of this book is the Kentucky Derby where Wonder is pitted against the greatest colts in the country and her own half brother Prince (who is Brad's colt). This race is one of my most favorite in the whole series. I was on the edge on my seat as I read. I couldn't seem to turn the pages fast enough! Every time I read this book I get excited all over again.

Wonder's First Race is one of the finest books in the series. When I think of how great this series is, I'm terribly saddened at the fact that Harper Collins is planning to end the series after #72. Unfortunately the faithful readers will not get the chance to experience another race as gripping as Wonder's Derby if the books will no longer be printed...Please reconsider Harper! Summary: Best Of Many
Review: I got this book at a fairly young age and read it. I had to have been 12 years old when I first read it. Now I am 16 and I picked up the book again on Thursday night and enjoyed as much as I had the many other times I read it. It is now Saturday and I still got the same thrill I got when I was younger. I still felt the same animosity towards Brad and I found myself rooting Wonder on in the Derby, having the same reaction I did when I was younger. I laughed at myself when I clenched my fist tight and whispered 'Come on Wonder.' as I read. Wonder's First Race was definately one of the best out of many great books in the seris. Ashleigh's emotions could pracially be felt and I like how Ashleigh, and Charlie never gave up on Wonder even though everyone put her down. I would have done the same thing if I'd be in there. I'm glad I picked up this book and it reminded me of how much I missed reading the Thoroughbred books. The racing scenes still gave me chills and I got the same thrill that I got out of it before. Wonder's First Race in one of my many favorites in the seris.

Review: This book is one of my favorites from the Thoroughbred series. The books that include Wonder are the ones I love to read over and over again! This is a great book because it shows people like Brad Townsend, that Wonder is a true winner. (When she wins the Kentucky Derby) I own all the Thoroughbred books, and I hope more will come! :)

Summary: AMAZING!!!!!!
Review: This is one of the best TB books ever. I think it's great how Wonder wins her first race. Ashleigh and Charlie did such a good job turning the weak little filly with no chance of survival into amazing strong racehorse. I recommend this book to any TB lover. I also think it's a probably a good idea to read #1 and #2 first. then you might get a better idea of how hard Ashleigh and Charlie worked. I was so disgusted with brad when he hurt Wonder. I mean how low can he get. Then he breaks up with Caroline. Then he shows up with his new girlfriend and Caro gets so mad she drives off and gets into an accident. Boy I don't blame Ashleigh or anybody else for hating that scum. READ the book you'll love it.

Summary: Go Wonder Go
Review: Wonder's First Race is one of my favorite TB books. I'm 20 and I still get a kick out of reading them.
This is where things start to get exciting. We see Wonder race for the first time, Ashliegh start to show an interest in boys and much much more!
Please, please don't end this series! The new books are not as good as this one was, but I still read them.
