Rating: Summary: Wonderful kid pleaser Review: Just got this book for my niece today! It is simply wonderful. The illustrations are nicely done and I know she will thoroughly enjoy this book. Great for preschoolers!
Rating: Summary: Well written, good values, a loveable heroine... Review: This is a favorite in our home. Reading is an important part of our day and like many parents, I've had to suffer through repeated readings of a story that charmed my child but bored me to death. This book is well-written (what a concept!) and a joy to read over and over and over and...well, you get the picture. It offers simple yet important lessons young children can understand ("don't judge others simply by how they look" and "God doesn't make mistakes in how we're made") and offers parents a chance to have an age-appropriate conversation with their little ones about people who look or act differently, what can happen if you wander away from home, and how to handle scary situations (like getting lost). It also offers parents the chance to discuss the nature of God in a way that's very easy to understand. Cow learns that even when she's lost, God is with her and most importantly, no matter how many friends God brings her, He is the best friend! This is truly one of the best books gracing my son's book shelf. Buy it now!
