Rating: Summary: Toddler son's favorite book Review: Although my 2-year-old son is younger than the book's intended audience, I tried it out on him when he was around 18 months old and he loved it and "asked" for it almost every night! It was the longest book I could get him to sit still for at the time. I'm sure the great pictures and fast-paced sing-song rhymes kept his attention. I really enjoy reading it to him as well! We lost the book which is why I'm ordering it online. This book will go down as one of those favorite books that our family remembers fondly.
Rating: Summary: Maude & Millie = Moovelous Review: Complimented by fabulous illustrations that fill every spot on the page with bold colors, the sing-song rhythms of this book makes for a great good night story. It is silly, and funny, and my two boys enjoyed it almost as much as me! I really like the bugity bog, and the names of the children. Over 100 children's books have passed through our possession over the past 9 years, and this is one that will not get passed along. I have a spot for it on my own bookshelf when we are done reading it together. Be sure to practice reading it a few times to yourself so you can read it well out loud.
Rating: Summary: Great art, lovely rhyme Review: Complimented by fabulous illustrations that fill every spot on the page with bold colors, the sing-song rhythms of this book makes for a great good night story. Rating: Summary: WHAT????? Review: My son, age 3 soon to be 4, and I are both avid readers. I like to think he gets his love of books from me but anyways, we read at least 3 stories each evening before bed and this was a new one tonight. This was awful! It has to top the list for the worst book we've tried, yet and we've tried hundereds since dad and grandma both have worked for a children's publisher. This one is definetly not going on his bookshelf. It made no sense at all. There is no story in it. It's just a bunch of rhyming poetry that makes no sense. We enjoy stories, we enjoy rhymes, and we enjoy books of poems but this was the dumbest thing we've ever read! ... At least Puff the Magic Dragon makes sense!!! This book looks so cute on the cover and it looks like it will appeal. Sure we read some books to learn and some for pure fun-but this was not even fun for him-he kept asking me to finish and read him the latest Munisch book-whom he loves by the way. In short, don't waste your money on this, invest instead in a timeless book that will have you and your child laughing and you will treasure forever and read a Robert Munisch book!
Rating: Summary: Inspiring Kids to Write Review: The illustrations are very good, the story is great...a new twist on the cow that jumped over the moon. What is most enjoyable for me and my children is how wonderfully it's written. It has good rhymes, wonderful rhythm, and is very creative. This book will create an imagination where there is none. My son says "Will you sing me the Two Cool Cows song again?"...because the words flow so well, he thinks it's a song! A terrific book.
Rating: Summary: Great book!! Review: This book is so much fun!! My kids love to hear it read, and best of all I love two read it!! It has a fun rhyme to it and a crazy spin off of the cow jumps over the moon rhyme. A must have for any young library. I started reading this to my kids when they were first born and now three years later, they still absolutely love it!
Rating: Summary: My son loves this book. Review: We discovered this book after my nephew enjoyed it so much. I searched high and low for a copy, and after finding it began to read it to my now 20 month old son. He loves looking at the pictures, especially of the cow playing the piano on the far side of the moon. He also began looking for Millie and Maude in the midst of cow festivities. I love to read the story aloud - the cadence and rhythm are engrossing. It has become a favorite gift for friends with young children.
Rating: Summary: A favorite book Review: When my daughter was two years old, she requested (okay, insisted!) that my husband or I read this book to her every night. She absolutely adored the wonderful rhymes and the fantastic illustrations. Now that she's nine, I've suggested that we pass the book on to younger cousins--but she refuses to entertain such a thought. The book has become an old friend to her, and she feels comfortable just knowing it's on her bookshelf. I recommend this book to all parents and grandparents of toddlers.

Rating: Summary: Wow Toby Speed your my hero Review: Wow! I really love this book. I read it to my 23 month old daughter Emily and she is totally engrossed. The rhyming and illustrations are perfect for the story. The best compliment to this book is when Emily makes me read certain pages over and over before I finish the story. Current favorite pages are:fishety pond page and moon in a puddle page. Practice makes perfect read this great book well. I'll be looking for more Toby Speed!
