Summary: What a good book
Review: All three books in the Dragon Chronicles series are wonderful, but this one is definitely my favorite.
Written in first person through Kara, Susan Fletcher bring everything around her to life. Through all of your senses, you constantly have a vivid mental image of Kara's ordeals and emotions.
Throughout all of Kara's decisions, like whether she should leave home to help the king, or continue to call down dragons, the author always has us thinking "What would I decide if I was in her shoes?"
Another plus in almost all books of Susan Fletcher, there is a small, underlying love story. All of Kara's friendships she made along the way, show that even through adversity and hardship, companionship always makes things better.

Not only do I strongly recommend this book, but I can be sure in saying that if you like this book, you will want to read it over and over again!

Review: Flight of the Dragon Kyn is another masterpiece by Susan Fletcher. It is a prequel (opposite of a sequel) to Dragon's Milk. Kara is summoned to the King when he hears of her ability to call birds. She then learns the King wants her to call dragons. She calls the dragon that brought her back to life when she was very young. The dragon, Flagra, is slayed, much to Kara's horror. The story then un-folds in a rich account of Kara's time spent with the dragon kyn, and her struggles to help save them from man. This story will have you captivated from the beginning to the very end, and is a must-read for anyone looking for a good book.

Review: The story is about a young girl named Kara,who is sick as a small child and was brought to a cave to be buried. Instead of dying,dragons fed her milk,which nursed her back to heallth. This milk also gave her speial powers. Kara meets the royal family ofthe land of Krag because of her powers, which throws her into the middle of a of a blood war between dragons and this royal family. Kara has mant adventures as she
tries to do the right thing for the family and the dragons. The prince of this
famly,Rog,threatens to kill two childrenif Kara doesn't sumomon dragons for him to kill. She gets help from the kiing and his army,the birds that she summons,and her friends. They defeat Rog,and her falcon flies off with dragons. Kara goes back to the king dom of Krag with king Orrik as his summoner.
I like this book because there are plenty of suprises. It issuspenseful and exciting.

Review: The story starts off when Kara, a teenage girl, is taken, by the king's men, to King Orrik for a mission she must accomplish for him. He needs her powers. Kara possesses the ability to call down birds. Believing birds and dragons are alike as kin, King Orrik oders Kara to get rid of the dragons that have been causing havoc to society. Throughout the book, Kara makes several friends, especially with a very special falcon, who each do their part in helping her out. In her journey, Kara calls down the dragon that once brought her back to life when she was thought to be dead in her childhood due to an illness. Kara later encounters more dragons and, later, devises a plan to allow these dragons to move away and settle somewhere so that both species, humans and dragons, will live comfortably. Kara faces more conflicts as the story goes on further. In the end, though, her plan succeeds, and peace is established. Kara, herself, lives happily ever after.
I would greatly recommend this book to anyone. It is action-packed, adventurous, and bulging with suspense. The great description allows you to take part in the story. The story mixes mystical creatures, special powers, and ordinary people in this one fantastic book.
My utmost favorite part of the story is when Kara encounters a cave full of dragons. She actually speaks to these magical creatures. I almost thought the dragons were fierce enough to harm Kara, but I saw that they were gentle, caring, and protective of other fellow dragons. The book is great!

Summary: A hard-to-get, exciting prequal to, "Dragon's Milk".
Review: This imaginative book, tells of Kara, a young girl who was taken ill with vermilion fever. She is left for dead in a cave, where she is nursed to health by a dragon. Now with the power to speak to dragons, and call their kyn (birds), she is summoned by a king. This story gives the history of the green-eyed line, before Kaeldra (the main character in "Dragon's Milk). It can be read alone, as it's own story. My suggestion is to read "Dragon's Milk" first. It adds the flavor, Suan Fletcher was aiming for
