The illustrations are beautiful. It celebrates the joy of having a girlfriend, which is so very important given that girls can be so cruel to each other.

Review: This simple, delightful little book is filled with the most beautiful pictures. The colorful, playful illustrations show little girls playing leap-frog, dancing, flying kits, even arguing and making up. I bought it first for my daughter, and then as a birthday gift from my daughter for the little girl next door. It's a wonderful gift from one little girl to another.
