Summary: Feel the true spirit of Christmas every time you read it
Review: I have enjoyed this story since I was a kid. Any time you feel the Christmas spirit is lost in all the hullabaloo of the season, 15 minutes reading this story on the sofa some evening is all it takes to bring that spirit back to you and your family. Emmet and his mom both experience giving up their own wishes to make each other happy, and find that happiness is not about having things, but about love and friendship. All ages, and both boys and girls will find things to enjoy about this story. Not corny, just a great story that never gets old.

Summary: Risking it all for love...
Review: This story is incredibly sweet! It's about Emmet Otter and his Ma trying to scrape together enough money for a Christmas present for each other. As each risks everything to surprise the other, a touching adventure unfolds in which they learn the true meaning wealth. Beautiful illustrations and fun animal characters, too.
