Summary: One of my seventh grader's review
Review: This was a great book. This is one of the books that you don't judge by its cover.Trials of Death sounds gory but actually it was about a half vampire surrounded by a bunch of full vampires. When he first arived at Vampire Mountain, the princes assigned him to the trials. They were a way to prove that you were a good enough vampire to become a general. The general was an important person. The trials consisted of a bunch of trials that are numbered and put into a hat. You draw a number out of the hat and that is your trial. I wouldn't recommend reading this book without reading the first four of this series.

Summary: Trials of Death
Review: In this fifth book of the Cirque Du Freak series, Darren faces the Trials of Death, a series of trials that will prove him as a true vamp. The trials are pretty much imaginable and lack creativity. Just another reason for me to be down on the book

I really enjoy the series but the last two books have been lacking in many ways. It seems that recently, author Darren Shan has been taking the easy way out on many important parts of the series. Though I-as I said before-love this series, Shan is definetly no expert author. Perhaps you could try A Wrinkle in Time? But I'm beginning to think this series may not be my worth MY time.

I guess if you've already read this far, you may as well finish the series. Sorry to all you Shan fans out there. I don't believe I have to name the positive areas of the books, do I?

Sighs...

Summary: Interest in the Series Continues
Review: Darren Shan is once again successful in continuing to build upon the interest already built up in this addictive series. Darren has to pass five trials to prove himself worthy to be a part of the vampire clan. If he fails, he dies.

This book includes several new plot lines that continue to make the series interesting. It takes a whole lot of talent to continue to create more interest in an extremely satisfying series.

For those who claim the author is without skill, I say Charna's guts! You just don't get it. This series continues to be all readers can think about until. . .

the next installment--The Vampire Prince

Summary: AMAZING
Review: I have loved this series from the start until I got to book four, "Vampire Mountian." I was strongly disapointed in that one and decided I wasnt going to read the fifth for a while. Finally, I decided to read it and I wasnt even slightly disapointed. It was truely amazing. In my oppinion, far better and the other four. It is full of twists and unpreictably turns. I have yet to read the fifth and sixth, but I am afraid that my expections are now so high I might be disapointed agian. BUY THIS BOOK. It definatly rocks!

Summary: this series is one of the best I have ever read.
Review: if you want to read the "Cirque Du Freak" books, please start with number 1. if you don't, it is unlikely that you will understand much. these books have a devoted fan base, and you can visit the authors website, (www.darrenshan.com) and look at the beautiful fan art that some kids have drawn. I have read every book in this series up to Trials of Death, and I am trying to get my hands on "the vampire prince". these books really make you want to keep reading, and most of the books end with you wondering what will happen next. and don't let reading level fool you- I am in the eigth grade, 13 years old, and I love these books. these books are written WONDERFULLY, they are full of emotion, action, violence, and gore. some parts are also very very sad, and I almost cried a few times, which is something I am not at all likely to do. but be warned, these books aren't for kids who are scared easily. there is an awful lot of death and graphic violence, which I think is great, but might upset the faint of heart. if you like books about vampires, fantasy, or just want something great to read, buy the first book in this series today! and these books aren't about dracula-style vampires- the creatures in these books are VERY believable. don't expect them to grow fangs or change into bats. from this series, my favorite characters were Evra Von, Darren Shan, and Kurda Smahlt (although he did something... well, read and find out). overall, this entire series is GREAT. please please please read them! each book seems better than the last one! and on a sad note, the author has sold the movie rights. you might think that is great, but I have a horrible feeling that the movie will be rated PG and the characters will be messed up. oh well. READ THESE BOOKS!

Summary: This Book Rulzzz!
Review: If youre the kind of person who only reads a few books a year, STOP WHAT YOUR DOING,ORDER THIS BOOK AND READ IT NOW! This spellbindingly magnificent book is one of the only book series I have ever read. After my mom found the first book for me Ive read every book and even gone to the U.K. Amazon so I could get my hands on a copy of the newer books before they were published in the U.S..Those other books like Artimis Fowl, dont even compare, I liked the first and second but man was the 3rd twisted. I have read all the books and will keep reading them as they are published until the series is discontinued. DARREN SHAN RULES!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: THIS BOOK ROCKS
Review: Okay...The entire Cirque Du Freak series is one of my favorite which I would strongly recommend. Trails of Death, while not the best in the series, is still worthy of five stars. In fact, I just finished this book today, May the twenty-second. Darren Shan (author and main character)has to face several trials in a thrilling "horror" book. READ this you WON'T be disappointed!!!
