Summary: a delight
Review: A frog who is looking for a friend with a common interest: hopping! Gotta love it. From rhinos to lobsters, the frog asks each successive potential buddy if they hop. Eventually, he finds the right friend to hop with. The artwork is great--very simple but bursting with intense colors. This is perfect a child 6 months old: the story is not too complex and the repetitive phrasing works well for the little ones. A favorite.

Summary: Great for Under Ones!
Review: My son loves this book, and has since he was six months old. It has bright pictures. A couple of words each page and they also tell a story (this seems to be a rare combo). The little frog is so expressive and there is heaps that a parent/reader could talk about to a little one on each page. I'm sure it will continue to be a favourite for some time.

Summary: The best first book for baby!
Review: My twins have been stimulated by the images in this book since they were 2 months old and now, at 8 months, the book still holds their attention. The simple, bright images can be detected by a very young baby's eyes--at a younger age than any of the other books I have. In the first few days after they first learned to laugh, this book could be counted on to illicit several good laughs from each boy. I would recommend it for anyone with a new baby--you'll get more than your money's worth.

Summary: Daughter's favorite
Review: The bright simple pictures held my daughter's interest and she continually chooses it as a favorite to read. She did not like to sit still through stories (even short board books) but this kept her entertained. We did motions with each animal as we went through the book and I feel it really helped her learn to enjoy story time.

Summary: holds a baby's attention
Review: This book is wonderful to read to your child. It is full of fun colorful illustrations that catch the baby's eye's. The words are simple for the child to understand and it is not too long as to loose a young child's attention. It is read at least 10 times a day in out house. We also act out the motions of the aminals with great excitment and fun.
