Rating: Summary: easy adaptations Review: I work with children for recreation and for elementary tutoring and find this book lots of fun. I found multi colored paper clips at office supply stores but I could have used other small colored items. The easiest switch if someone can't find one color would just use the common silver paper clip for that color. Very few of the clues require ALL the colors anyway. I use and recommend other Christensen puzzle books and find that kids really enjoy them and that they are well thought out.

Rating: Summary: alternatives Review: The idea behind this book is great, however, good luck locating ORANGE and BLACK paperclips. Multipacks sell every color BUT these. Sometimes they have black, but I have yet to see an orange clip. They should have taken this into consideration when choosing colors for the book!PS. If anyone FINDS these colors on line, please let me know!!

Rating: Summary: alternatives Review: This is a terrific book with an innovative idea. As a puzzle-lover, I certainly emjoyed it. It would be very unfortunate if anyone skipped over this book because they couldn't find the paperclips. The author suggests using coloured construction paper as an alternative, and I found that it worked very well. Another idea would be to use old, small crayon pieces. There are all sorts of other materials one could try to work around the very minor difficulty of finding orange or black paperclips.
