Summary: A great book
Review: !!!!!!!!! HALFBACK TOUGH!!!!!!!

In this book there are a couple of main charactars so I will list them all and they are Joe the halfback, Paul the Quarterback, Andey the runningback, chuck the fullback, richard one of Joes old friends, Marty another one of Joes crazy friends, Earl Steele the coach of the football team, well that's about all of them.
This book is about a boy named Joe that was a trouble maker at his old school because he hung around with the wrong people. These people where Marty and Richard who smoked and drunk and did bad things like that. Well he moved away to another school about three hours away, and one day after school he was smoking in front of the school tennis court and the quarterback named Paul told joe to put it out. Joe never thought about going out for the football team at his old school but he did for this one. He was at the first day of practice and Joe did not know but he had the talent to run fast and catch the ball better than anyone on the field. He was so good that Earl Steel replaced Jason the starting halfback with Joe so now Joe was starting. Joe had became famous for his football talent and made best friends with Andey the runningback. In his new school he made the best grades he had ever had and was the biggest star in town cause he was in the news paper and every one knew his name cause he was the football teams best weapon. His school was undefeated when they had to face Joe's old school. Joe knew that Marty and Richard where there and they saw him before he saw them and with them being drunk they started yelling his name and embarissing him. But they still won the game. Joe got back with his old friends and started drinking again with them for a while then went home. The next day they found out there school had been broken in to. they found out who it was it was a trouble maker. But every one was worride about the big game the other team was un defeated to like them. They had a hard time but they still won the game.
This is a good book for a sports fan and I recommend this book for any one who plays sports.

Review: Dygard really hit gold when he wrote this book. If you love football, then this is the book for you. When Joe has to move to a new school, he gives up his old trouble making life and starts over. When he joins the football team, he doesn't know he's in for a wild ride. When he has to go to his old school to play his old school's team, he runs into his old friends. Will Joe be able to stay out of trouble? This book is really a "Can't put it down" kind of book. You must read this book!

Review: Halfback Tough
Thomas J. Dygard

The book that I read was halfback tough. I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars because the book was about my favorite sport and it was a good book about how a kid had to work his was up on the football team from the bottom to the top.
My book is about named Joe Atkins that had to change schools because he was always getting into trouble with his old friends. At the new school he tries to start a new life and to become a better person. As that happened he was trying new things like he went out for the football team. He found out that if you go out for a sport you have to maintain eligible. Once that he started to pay more attention in class and became a better student and wasn?t always getting into trouble. Then he became on of the best football players at the school he played wide receiver. This book was an okay book but the only things that had interested me the most was when it was a football game or something to do with the football game.

Review: The book is about a boy named Joe Atkins who used to hang out with two boys named Richard and Marty. They always used to get in trouble but then he moved to Graham and started playing football. Then as the season went on he started realizing people weren't his frineds. Then when he played his old school in football he starts to kind of realize the people he hangs out with in the past were his real friends and the people he hung out with now aren't his real friends. Then one home game his friends come down from Worthington and the went out and started drinking and all of the stuff he used to do. A while later in the book at the big game he started to wonder if he she be like his old self or forgt what everyone saise and do what he loves to do. Then his coach came in and said that people were tryin to be his friend but he was pushing them away.So he decided to be good and do what he liked doing and then they won the big game.
I like this book because it was about footbal. And that is really the only reason.
