Rating: Summary: Classic feline fun - purrfectly matched art and poems! Review: I truly enjoyed this book, as did my neices and nephews. They ask me to read it to them quite often, and each one has their own favorite cat. There is a poem in the book that has always been one of my favorites - my wife also found one of her favorites too. All ages will love this literary catnip!
Rating: Summary: Fun for kids, cats and adults Review: When I put this book on the coffee table, one of our cats "Greystroke" hopped up and immediately took a nap on it! This book offers classic cat poetry, such as T.S. Eliots "Rum Tum Tugger", William Blakes "The Tyger", and Mother Goose paired with perfectly matched painting from The Metropolitan Museums of Art collection. An excellent job of picking diverse art to go with the poetry! The poems and art are from all over the world, from Japanese Haiku and woodblock prints, to Egyptian sculpture, to contemporary poet Langston Hughes. This book is a delight to read and look at.
