Summary: A must for an elementary teacher's HIV & AIDS lesson.
Review: "Daddy and Me" presents the realities of living with a parent who has contracted the HIV virus. I've read this book to fourth grade students for the past two years as a part of our Human Sexuality/HIV curriculum that is mandated by our district. Both years the children came away with new insights into the AIDS crisis. The book is an excellent tool to initiate the lesson. Although I have read the book many times, I still find it difficult to get through without crying.
