Summary: My 3 year old Harry Potter fan....
Review: I spend every evening reading to my 2 children. Although neither is school aged, both enjoy "reading" this book to me. Each takes a turn and tells about the scenes on the page. In this way they are laying the foundation for early reading. The illustrations are first rate. The pull tabs effectively illustrate cause and effect relationships. One of the best things about this book is the fact that there are no word whatsoever. The story is told by my children and their version is always right. It is helpful that everyone in the family is familiar with the story in one form or another. (movie or novels)

Summary: a perfect analagy
Review: J.K. Rowling is brilliant because she made Harry Potter a perfect copy of people in general. I'm sure everone has felt like an orphan in some way and had that secret but somehow hopeless desire someone would save them. Some are saved and some aren't. Draco Malfoy is a perfect example of the uncontrollable evil thoughts that race through everyone's heads whether people choose to take so far as to act upon them. Dumbledore is the good inside us or even the actual one we look up to. There is always a place we need to learn and to grow and most of us have a place like that where we are comfortable with the people in the surroundings. J.K. Rowling has captured everyday feelings, emotions, actions, even just life in general, put an interesting twist and background to it and turned it into one of the best books and beginnings to an absolutely amazingly brilliant series, in my opinion. I seriously suggest ANYONE who has not read these books, please at least give it a try. No matter what age you are, religion, books your in to, give this series a try because it might just be the key to understanding.

Summary: My 3 year old Harry Potter fan....
Review: My three year old son LOVES Harry Potter, and we have had SO much trouble finding age-appropriate merchandise for him. I was scoping the local book store and stumbled upon this book. When I brought it home he went NUTS!!! It doesn't even bother with words, and it doesn't really need them, b/c the pop ups say it all. The lack of words definitely wasn't a problem for us b/c he can't read....so overall it's a great item for small children, but you might want to look around for something more challanging for older kids.

Summary: Harry Potter Mom
Review: This book was full of lots of pull-tabs. The art work is similar to the covers of the books - cartoon without looking goofy. I was looking at it in a store until my (very patient) 6 yr old dragged me away saying "I'll tell Dad you want it for Christmas - let's go!" This book is for every Harry Potter fan.

Summary: Falls short
Review: True, the Harry Potter series is one of the best around, for kids and adults with imaginations. However, this pop-up book falls very short of any expectations one might have. There are very few pages to look at, no words at all, just cartoonish scenes.
