Review: This book is a very eduational, easy-to-read book talking about the dry, barren places on Earth. I liked all the interesting facts mentioned in this book and it was an informational and short read. Some of the facts that I found fascinating were that deserts occupy one-seventh of the earth's surface, any place that recieves less than 10 inches of rainfall/snowfall a year is called a desert, the way plants and animals have adapted to the harsh desert conditions, and the way deserts are formed. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in deserts and needs a book to get good facts from. The stunning color photographs supply you with a great visual and the text is clear and concise making it easy to understand
