Summary: A story of true love, touching and heartwarming, wonderful!!
Review: This book is my favorite book of Lurlene McDaniel's. I read it in three hours straight. I cried for an hour, at least. I loved how Julie stuck by and took care of Luke. My favorite part was at the end when she went to the football field and saw the tulips Luke had planted that spelled out "I Love You"! That was sooooo sweet. I've loaned this book out to many of my friends. It is a wonderful, romantic, sad, book. The best books are the ones you can't put down. This was one of those book

Summary: Don't Die My Love By: Lurlene McDaniel
Review: This is one of my favorite books I have read. I am seventeen and have been reading Lurlene McDaniel since I was fifteen. I do not believe there is a real age range for this book. This book is written for young adults, but I will most likely pick t up and read it several more times in my life. My favorite part of the book is the ending. Although this book is about a seventeen-year-old cancer ridden football star, the ending leaves the reader feeling inspired. Inspired to go on and fight for another day no matter what has happened.

Luke the town football star has been feeling very ill lately and his girlfriend of three years urges him to go see the doctor. The out come of the visit is more then just another flu stricken patient seeking medical attention. The news of Luke having Hodgkin's alters his life and shocks his friends and family. Non of this fazes Luke's girlfriend Julie who sticks by his side through it all. She refuses to leave him alone during the time of his treatments. In the spring, the tests come back negative and Luke, Julie, Luke's mom, and the doctor's believe he has over come it. It was not until that following fall during football season that they realize it has returned and Luke's remission is over.

The characterization in this book is wonderful. I feel as if I am part of their lives going through everything with them. I am able to feel the emotions and see what they see. Lurlene McDaniel does a great job of shaping her characters and allowing the reader to relate along with the characters. While reading this book I was able to relate to the characters because I to have gone through much of the same events. My great grandma went through chemotherapy to get rid of her cancer a couple years back. Fortunately for my grandma, she was able to beat it. I absolutely loved this book! I was able to relate to it in so many ways and would recommend it to everyone! The ending is best part of this book. It is heart warming and inspiring. It is one of the best endings I have read. I probably would recommend this book based on the ending.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: Three cheers for Lurlene McDaniel! Don't Die, My Love was one of the best books I have ever read. It was written beautifully. It tells the story about Julie and the star football player, Luke, two young high school students who are both in love. When Luke gets sick, Julie stays by his side thoughout the emotional ordeal. A beautiful love story. If you read it, make sure you have tissues within reach.
Lurlene McDaniel is a wonderful author.
