Summary: Needs remodeling
Review: We love Eric Carle and his colorful world. Our granddaughter (almost two) loves his books as much as we do and has a big collection of his works already. This one threw her for a loop, though. Passing the ball through the holes from animal to animal intrigued her, but usually the ball went through several pages at a time. When she managed to shove it into the kangaroo's pouch, it disappeared and could be retrieved only with the help of tweezers. After the third disappearance she yanked on the string, hard, and the whole thing came out!Grandma fixed it by making a hole slightly above the kangaroo pouch, threading the string through and tying VERY securely with a big knot. Now it works! Seems to us that the intended target age group for this book needs a slightly more manageable arrangement of this charming and very clever idea.

Summary: catch the ball
Review: We love Eric Carle. He is a great author. The children love "Catch the Ball". They love books and this one gives them something to do as they look at it. I work at a daycare and our two year olds look at books all of the time. They can't read yet, but this get's them interested in books. They also love "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? Thanks Mr. Carle. Keep up the good work.
