Rating: Summary: It's a quick read Review: This is my first time reading about the Bailey school kids, but I thought the book went by fast and was easy to understand. That is important when writing for younger kids. They can save the complex classics for when they're older. The good thing about books like these, which include Harry Potter, the Hardy boys, etc., is that they are so readable that they can set patterns of reading that can stay with the child for years to come. Another series I recommend are the Rutabegga [sic] stories by Carl Sandburg, which has a simple way for kids and adults alike to remember the story long after it's been read.
