Summary: Auntie Claus and the Key to Christmas
Review: BRAVO!! Elise Primavera has again created a modern Christmas classic. The sequel to Auntie Claus is beautifully illustrated and splendidly written. My children have loved all of her books, but these two are their favorites. Merry Christmas, Auntie Claus.

Summary: SO MUCH FUN!
Review: Great story! Great art! Great fun! Auntie Claus is the new american icon! This sequel to Elise Primavera's wonderfully imaginative "Auntie Claus", invites us back into the magical world of the Kringles. This time, Sophie's younger brother Chris continues the adventures, and what adventures they are! Taking the elevator ride of his life, Chris rockets to the North pole, only to find the gates locked! The Spam twins (love to hate them!) and the little dogs (love to love them!) are wonderful characters, exceeded only by the Prunes!
Ms. Primavera's art is a rich, jewel-toned tapestry of color, movement and light, illustrating a world that will delight children of all ages as it reminds us that "Only the heart knows what is invisible to the eye."

Summary: Read This Book If You Want To Be Santa Claus
Review: I read this story to my first graders this year, after having read the first Auntie Claus to them. We were all absolutely captivated by the marvelous illustrations, and the story itself is very entertaining. The students were horrified at Chris Kringle's behavior and his desire to be on the Bad Boys and Girls List. They were all relieved by Chris's transformation at the end of the book when he understands the true meaning of Christmas.

As a teacher, I enjoy this book not only because the children are so engrossed by the stories and illustrations, but also because the book sparks a discussion amongst the children of what their focus should really be during the holiday season. They learn valuable morals without realizing it.

Along with the first book, Auntie Claus, this book is a fantastic read-aloud. The true merits of this book were demonstrated when my students hopefully asked if there was a third Auntie Claus book. If you have young children, I highly recommend picking these two books up and making them part of your Christmas tradition. You'll be glad you did.

Review: If you cold live in toyland for two days, would you give up Christmas forever? Auntie Claus is getting ready for Christmas. She has special powers. She has a key that leads to Christmas and a ride on her elevator that can take her any where. Later a spoiled little boy came to the door of Christmas.

Summary: Not To Be Missed Holiday Tale!!!
Review: Kudos to Elise Primavera! Her follow-up to Auntie Claus, "Auntie Claus and the Key to Christmas", is as delightful and amusing a tale as her first. My grandaughter loved reading more of the wonderful adventures of Auntie Claus, the Bing Cherry Hotel and the Kringle's. Ms. Primavera's enchanting and whimisical illustrations will delight both children and parents alike. Her talent as both a storyteller and illustrator make this book a perfect addition to any child's library.

Summary: Please think up something new.....
Review: Ms. Primavera had a clever idea when she wrote Auntie Claus. Unfortunately she has re-hashed the book and changed a few names. If you own "Auntie Claus" there is no new magic and no surprises here.

There are many other clever picture books about Christmas to spend your money on, including Auntie Claus and Patricia Polacco's new book " Christmas Tapestry".

Summary: Soon to be Classic
Review: This book is a must have for the holidays. My children loved the illustrations...and the story too! It's hard to find good holiday reading for children but "the key to Christmas" is a rare find. I would strongly recommend this book and the original Auntie Claus too. It is a soon to be holiday classic that the whole family can enjoy.
