Summary: A Book for Horse Lovers
Review: A Book for Horse Lovers
By Jennifer Jobe

The book Coming Home by Lauren Brooke contains many feelings. This is the first book in the series Heartland Healing horses, healing hearts. Amy lives at a place where her Mom helps horses that have been hurt emotionally, mentally and physically. Amy has the same ability to listen and understand what horses need as her Mom but everything changes after a dreadful accident.
Coming Home is a great book that keeps you reading and not putting it down. If you like horses and action, then you will like this book. Coming Home will keep you on the edge of your seat and keep you reading. The emotions are unbelievable including excitement, sorrow, trust, wonder, anger, hopelessness, feeling scared, worried, and many, many others.
Some book reviews tell what authors have done well. With my own experience with horses, I know that Lauren Brooke either works with horses and knows a lot about horses or she did a lot of research. The words that Ms. Brooke uses paint a great picture in my mind so I can see the places described clearly.
I would recommend this book to horse lovers and someone looking for an easy read. Coming Home is short- only 140 pages and is at the fifth grade reading level. The book does rush trough the story a little but over all, the story is great.

Summary: Heartlnd-Coming Home
Review: Amy, the main character, lives on a horse farm where she, her grandpa, her mom and other helpers, (Scott and Ty), heal the scars of the past, by healing and helping horses in need.
It's almost Amy's 15th birthday and she invites her sister,Lou, who lives in New York, to come celebrate with her. Lou promises, but at the last minute cancels her plans to come, making Amy very upset.
This year Amy is having a real hard, emotional time. First, Amy peruades her mom to go out into a storm, to save a starving bay stallion, who has been locked up for days, with no food or water, in his stall. On the way back from saving the stallion from further starvtion, a lightning bolt strikes a tree, which then collapses onto their car and trailer, injuring Amy and the stallion and killing Amy's mom!
Amy is very depressed for a long time, even though her older sister, Lou, had decided to come down, while she was unconcious.
Awhile later, Amy finds out that one of her older friends has died and has been dead for a week. Not only that, but the friend's horse,Sugarfoot,ho is a Shetland has been locked up in his stall all tht week. Heartland takes in the horse, but he does not want to live because he misses his previous owner so much. He does not eat and drinks very little.
Will Sugarfoot decide to hang on or will he decide to die?

What I liked about the book was it wasn't too long. Also, it was an emotional book and I like those books. Lastly,it was about horses.
What I didn't like was it was a little too short.
I recommend this book to all horse lovers out there and all those who like stories about peoples lives.

Summary: what do I think?
Review: Coming home is about a girl called Amy who lives on a horse farm and helps her mum 2 heal horses, with the help of the stable hand Ty (hooray!) tragedy strikes and Amy realizes stuff, learns somthing aboutt herself ect. It is a well written occasionally cheesy book, better than your average horse book. This isn't lauren brooke's best book though, they get better as they go on

Summary: Great book
Review: Heartland is a book about horses and how the Fleming family treats the horses for illness or abuse. Amy and her sister, Lou, handle and board the horses. Their father was in a terrible accident, and left them with their mother. Then, their mother died in an accident trying to save a horse that was neglected. Her grandpa lived with them after the accident. Amy's friend, Ty, is the other stable hand.
This book is a series and in each story there is a different horse that needs a lot of care and attention. These books are really good because they tell how you should treat horses. It tells you how to use different oils and treatments to heal the frightened and abused horses.
It also deals with Amy's life. Each book has Amy trying to deal with growing up without a mother or father. These struggles bring her new strength and her character continues to develop. She encounters many friends and competes with one person, Ashley Grant, who owns Green Briar Ranch. Their horse ranch uses physical contact, nothing like Heartland. Amy also finds a note to her mother from her father asking for forgiveness. Amy and her grandfather never forgave Amy's dad for what he did, but Lo wants to meet her dad.
Trust me! Heartland by Lauren Brooke is an incredible book. Read it!

Summary: Heartland, Coming Home
Review: Heartland is a farm where Amy and her family care for horses and teach them trust people again. Amy learned from her mother how to listen to horses and understand what they need. Heartland is located in the hills of Virginia. When Amy and her mother try to save a horse and get into an accident, they are sent to a hospital. When Amy wakes up, she asked where her mother was. They said she didn't make it. Now Amy tries to continue Heartland, and she has to truly believe that miracles can happen at Heartland.

I relished this book. It teaches you that when something bad happens, you need to move on. There is more in life than grieving for a loved one. You have to use what you learned to go on in life. You can't hold on to everything. This author is excellent.

My favorite part was when Amy read the article in the newspaper about them. It said that the "horse lady" works magic at Heartland. She helps rescue horses, ponies, and donkeys. By having this article in the newspaper, more people might be tempted to come and bring thier horses. It said that horses were healed there. This book was fantastic!

Review: I had to pick this up because my friends were reading and said it was AWESOME. They were right. I can't believe I've been missing out this whole time. The charecters blow you away. I couldn't stop once I read it till 10 o'clock at night. The book took me two days to finish. It was so good.
The book is about a girl named Amy Fleming. Her mother owns a horse sanctury. I loved how they used the concept of join up. Then again I loved the whole book. I told my cousin about it and we agree Heatland is one of THE BEST series.

Summary: Touching and Emotional
Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. It is very sad and emotional, but it leaves you feeling satisfied and hopeful.
I would recomend it mostly to kids 11 and up, (I'm thirteen and I loved it) but I think anyone would enjoy it. It is perfect for horse lovers (like me) but I think even people who don't like horses will end up crying for the horses anyway. This book is very realistic, and describes Amy's feelings to where you feel like you really are her.
Amy and her mom were in an accident on their way to save a horse. Amy survives but her mom has died. She is left with Heartland, with very little help to keep it runnig.
I think that anyone that reads this will think that it was one of the best books they've ever read.
