Rating: Summary: Baby Angels-Great for Bedtime Routines Review: Reading as part of our bedtime routine is crucial. Our daughter, born in October 1999, loves this book especially when read in a voice slightly more forceful than a whisper. She has memorized when to turn the page, and she does so without being prompted. If ever there should be an award for illustrations, this book has my vote! The baby angels are darling, and the baby in red is just as cute. Plus, and perhaps most importantly at times, a parent can read this book in just a couple of minutes. This is enough time for our daughter to get relaxed so that she can prepare herself for a good night's sleep.

Rating: Summary: Gives Baby Dangerous Ideas Review: This book caught me from the first page. The illustrations are absolutely darling and who can resist a story about angels watching over baby. Then I turned to the next page. "Baby angels see me climb....", are the words to accompany a picture of a baby climbing over the railing of his crib or tumbling out of his crib. The next scene has angels say "Uh Oh", while the baby is sneaking behind the back of his parents and OUT THE FRONT DOOR. The story goes on to say how the angels will protect the baby once he has sneaked outside. Then the last page is as sweet as the first. Angels keep baby close to those who love him. The outer pages are great but its the 'meat' of the book that alarms me. I feel it gives children bad ideas. I don't want my daughter to think it's ok to climb over her crib railing or sneak out of the house because angels will guide her every DANGEROUS move. Everyone else seemed to adore this book but I think it sends the wrong message. There are many other beautifully illustrated AND beautifully written books that I'd rather read to my daughter that send good, healthy messages about life and growing up. This is a book I'll never let her get her hands on again.
Rating: Summary: Every baby has an angel Review: This book is a wonderful example of cute chubby little angels watching after your baby. Just like I love to imagine. Baby Angles is a 5 star childrens book.
Rating: Summary: I agree completely with the previous review Review: This is a wildly inappropriate book for children. It sends a message that no matter where you go, whether mommy and daddy are with you or you wander away from them, your angels will keep you safe. Is this the message any of us want to give our children?
