Rating: Summary: Another Underpants extravaganza Review: "Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies from Outer Space" is a further installment in this clever series of books by Dav Pilkey. Captain U is a spoofish superhero character not unlike the Tick or the Powerpuff Girls. Pilkey combines subversive humor with engaging cartoony illustrations.Captain U's true identity is that of an elementary school principal. But after being hypnotized by unruly fourth graders George and Harold, he acquires his superhero persona. Captain Underpants is probably the silliest spoof superhero yet; he runs around wearing no more than his underpants (hence the name) and a cape. In this installment, the good captain faces a trio of devious extraterrestrial fiends. Much like the popular TV show "The Simpsons," this book mercilessly satirizes school and authority figures. Pilkey includes many clever touches, such as the incorporation of comic books allegedly written by George and Harold, as well as a "Flip-o-Rama" gimmick by which the reader can manually animate key action sequences. Overall, a lot of fun.
Rating: Summary: This Book Is Great! Review: "Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies from Outer Space" usually with a long title is a great book, and I heard there's a "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" in 2004 and a "Lord Of The Rings: The Return of The King" in 2003, and as again I would want you to make this wonderful book with satire as a movie, so I give this 5 stars.

Rating: Summary: A Great Third Grade Book! Review: Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies From Outer Space (and the Subsequent Asault of the Equally Evil Lunchroom Zombie Nerds By Dav Pilkey This book is about three aliens who try to take over the world. The aliens are Zort, Klax, and Jennifer. The aliens pretend that they are lunch ladies. They go to work in the cafeteria of a small, Midwestern elementary school. These new lunch ladies begin serving strange things to the kids in the school and the new food begins to make the kids look and act strange. George and Harold who are students at the school, notice that something weird is going on and they decide to investigate. They begin spying on the lunch ladies and they suspect that they are aliens. The tell their principal about what they think is going on, but he doesn't believe them. They take him to investigate. When they get to the cafeteria the lunch ladies grab Harold. He tries to get away, and he ends up pulling off the lunch ladies' gloves. They all see the ladies have tentacles not hands. Accidentally, one of the lunch ladies snaps her tentacles that made the principal turn into Captain Underpants. The rest of the story is about how Captain Underpants battles the evil aliens. I think the author wrote the book because he has a crazy imagination and he wanted to share it with others. He also wanted to have his readers use their imaginations and be entertained. This book makes you laugh. I liked the book because it was very funny. The events were exciting, too. The author was really good at giving a lot of descriptions. I could see, in my head, what was happening. I thought Dav Pilkey did an especially good job at describing the villains. I would recommend this book for others to read. I'm sure anyone would have a good time reading it. I think this would be a good book for kids who are in second or third grade.

Rating: Summary: Funny but ALMOST BANNED! Review: This comic is totally hillarious, but make sure to buy it before big brother says you can't! Check out the following: 'Captain Underpants' lives to see another day ORFORDVILLE, Wis. - Dav Pilkey's book, Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies From Outer Space (and the Subsequent Assault of Equally Evil Lunchroom Zombie Nerds), came under scrutiny after a student's parents asked that it be reviewed. The story's main characters ridicule and disobey their school principal, bury some dead lunch ladies by the school and write comic books riddled with misspellings, among other things. The Parkview School District committee voted 5-0 to keep the book in the school's library. The district's curriculum director said children probably would be best served if someone read or discussed the book with them to point out misspellings and intolerance issues.
