Rating: 5 stars
Summary: great fun for young adventurers
Review: If you are looking for something besides Goosebumps to interest your 6-11 year old's this is it. You will need to allow lots of extra time for the giggles to stop when you read about the adventures of three boys who find a magic book which allows them to time-warp. Know that when you read one of these books you won't be finished until you read all 6 in the series. Great for read aloud or middle elementary readers. By the author of the Stinky Cheese Man.

Summary: The Excititng Mystery
Review: My 9 year old son loves this series! He reads them cover to cover as soon as he brings them home, and that is something considering he rarely sits still for anything! This series has really captured his attention, he can't wait to get to the next book!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: More action, more humor, more pleasure!
Review: My favorite of the Time Warp Trio's adventures so far. This time, the boys end up in the land of King Tut and hieroglyphics. Fear of having their hands chopped off and being mummified are just two of the threats the boys have hanging over their heads when they face the mysteries of ancient Egypt. A wonderful look into customs and beliefs mixed with great humor, terrific storytelling, and non-stop adventure. Another book of the Time Warp Trio series, Jon Scieszka is a master at storytelling. He combines adventure, history, fantasy and humor in a compelling format that even reluctant readers will find hard to put down.

Summary: Easy and fun summer reading
Review: My son recently wrote the following:

The Time Warp Trio books contain amazing pictures by Lane Smith and humorous stories by Jon Scieszka (of The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales fame). Time Warp Trio books are entertaining and easy to read and were probably written to encourage kids who don't usually read much to read more.

In Tut-Tut, the boys find themselves in the pharaohs' personal treasure room and are discovered by a angry high priest, who turns them in. Once again, The Book disappears, but this time Joe's little sister is also sucked in the warp, so not only do they have to get The Book back, they have to retrieve her, too.

Enjoy this "quick" summer read!
