Summary: A beautiful, fun book; a must-have (at least for NY'ers)!
Review: I bought this book for my 9-month-old twins. They won't be able to read it for a while, but it's waiting for them on their bookshelf as soon as they're ready for paper pages!! It's not a baby book, but I couldn't resist it when I saw it. As a New Yorker, I'm a discriminating critic - this book is chock full of interesting text, great detail and fun illustrations. The quality is great. And all the adults that see it feel compelled to read it cover to cover. So it's really a fun, fun gift for a family with kids, whether or not they live in or plan to visit New York.
