Rating: Summary: Satisfaction guaranteed Review: I received this book from my dear sister, who teaches 1st/2nd Grade and always finds the best books. This is my favorite book by Iza Trapani, consisting of a familiar tune with the familiar lyrics and fun twist of new lyrics that the illustrations accentuate. This is one of the few books I can read simultaneously to both of my sons (2 1/2 and 4 1/2) without one getting bored or the other losing interest - and that after almost 2 years!! Satisfaction guaranteed!!
Rating: Summary: Iza Trapani has done it again!!! Review: This women is amazing!!! I love the way she makes the teapot the main character in the story. Iza Trapani's books have been our all-time favorites. She has a way of taking already wonderful children's songs and making them even more memorable. The theme of the book, is a teapot wanting to share it's dreams with the children (brother and sister). The book takes the chidren on a wonderful, imaginitive, adventure to China, Spain, and even outer space. There's a jungle adventure where the little teapot plays peek-a-boo with the children. My kids like finding the children in the picture (and the other hidden animals from previous verses). The illustration is wonderful. As you can see by the cover, the teapot is drawn with cherub-like soft curvy lines (as are the childern). The finale is adorable. The childern are having tea with their entire family, even the characters from all their teapot adventures (including the alien from outer space!). Can you spot them all? I must also HIGHLY recommend "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
Rating: Summary: Baby's favorite thing! Review: We got a free copy of this book when our daughter was born, and within several months, it was her favorite thing. She loved it to death, so to speak, so we bought her the boardbook version. She's 16 months and version 2 is a casualty of love. I'm about to get yet another copy. While the lyrics lack a bit if you want to teach your child about traveling or the world, the premise of the story is cute, and my child loves to have this sung to her. It is the first thing she picks up every morning. If you have the patience to sing the "I'm a Little Teapot" tune over and over and over again, I would highly recommend this book.
