Rating: Summary: These aren't the flowers you're used to... Review: Forget about kids--get this for yourself. I bought it a few days ago, and ever since it showed up, I've been making flowers like a fiend. It's ridiculously easy, and as always with klutz books, pretty much everything you need is included. You supply scissors; if you've got the ones with wavy or crinkly edges, you'll have a few more options. I started with the tissue paper at the back of the book, but since then have been experimenting with all sorts of papers from around the house--old paper bags make surprisingly gorgeous flowers. Instructions for simple pompoms get you started, after which you can whip through everything from sweetpeas and delphiniums to lilies and irises. Templates for the petal shapes are at the back of the book, but freehand shapes are fun too, and work especially well if you've got those previously mentioned wavy scissors. I'm decorating several easter baskets with the garlands I've made, and the garlands can be taken off and easily made into flowery crowns for little princesses. If you want to let the kids share in the fun, watch the pipe cleaner ends--they can really be sharp! And you should tear the tissue sheets out of the book- it takes a pretty firm hand to get them out cleanly. Highly recommended as a gift for girls ages 8 through 12 and an activity for ages 6 and up ; while boys will have fun too, the book looks pretty "girly" at first glance, so it might not be the most exciting thing to unwrap.
Rating: Summary: stuff for the inner child! Review: Get this along with Shrinky Dinks, for any teen you know or anyone turning 40! ha! this book is worth the money ONLY IF: you can't understand the directions on ANYTHING! MAINLY DUE TO: you don't like to read directions and only look at pictures. AND really hate shopping for supplies to any art project AND are just too lazy and dont know where to start anyway when trying to have good rainy indoor fun. Now I am already visualizing "no postive feedback" next to my review, so I will add, this is very easy and inspiring and within 30 seconds figured this out and made a neat flower with no pain that made us want to make two hours worth of "ooh and awwwsss" flowers which we strung from everything in our house and led us to envision a world of paper flowers that never die we could give to everyoen we know to also inspire them. There are really complicated flowers in the book but we love the werid "don't bother cutting it out right see what happens" flowers the most.IN fact, we are gettign a pile of plain white tissue and water coloring them tye dye this weekend to make massive giant huge flowers ! I am planning on sending this to every teen-angst person I know! This is my personal statement on "when your stressed make a flower!" Sometimes life really can be that simple!
Rating: Summary: Flowers for anytime, anywhere Review: I LOVE THIS BOOK! I spent a whole weekend off making flower after flower and I still want to make more. The instructions are super-clear, easy & fun, and the book supplies plenty of tissue and pipe cleaners. It says on the back cover "This is not a book - it's a bouquet of flowers in flattened form" (or something like that *chuckle*) and they weren't kidding! Buy it and HAVE fun - you won't be disappointed! :)
Rating: Summary: Amazingingly lifelike easy and beautiful flowers.Buy it now! Review: If you want to make paper flowers this is the book to get. I had a hankerin' to make some paper flowers and so bought this book, but was not prepared for how much fun it would be. I didn't realise it had everything in it that you need, i.e. tissue paper and pipe cleaners. You would think they'd give you enough to make just a couple but NO! There are 75 sheets of tissue in every color you can imagine and 40 pipe cleaners for stems. My house is overflowing with flowers!! This is not just a book for children, but adults too and I think it would be an especially wonderful gift for a teenage girl. The finished flowers look exactly like the ones in the book and so realistic. And they are so simple! You need to get this book - you won't be disappointed and it is money well spent.

Rating: Summary: fun flowers for every age Review: Klutz Press has done it again with another wonderful book. The flowers are easy to make and look great. Our home was soon blooming with flowers. The only thing you need extra is a pair of scissors and you're ready to go. I'm going to buy a copy for a friend in the hospital for pre-term labor. It'll be a great way to pass the time and brighten up her room.
Rating: Summary: very good Review: The book itself is very appealing and it was great to get all the things we needed to get started. I work with Spanish speaking kids who do not know English and the diagrams and all are so clear that after a brief explaination they were able to create bunches of flowers on their own. What fun!
Rating: Summary: Create your Very Own Paper Garden! Review: This is the absolute, most adorable, creative guide to making paper flowers. I was looking for a book on making paper flowers, but as an adult, I was afraid this book was only for kids. Boy was I wrong. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, yet the finished product looks like you are a creative genius. I highly recommend this book for adults as well as children. It would make a wonderful gift for a daughter, grandaughter, wife, mother, sister, or anyone whose face you'd like to see a big smile on!
Rating: Summary: Five Stars! Review: Tissue Paper Flowers is a wonderful instruction guide to making gorgeous and fanciful flower decorations. All you need to get started is included (minus the scissors and someone else pointed out in their review!). The tissue paper provided is good quality and comes in bright, cheerful colors. I like that the pipe cleaners are in various shades of green for the flower stems, as it gives more depth when making bouquets. Back to the instructions, as typical with Klutz books they are written in a very concise and easy to understand manner. There are photos to guide you as well. I would suggest starting from the beginning of the book and then working forward, as you learn techniques in the beginning that carry you throughout the book. This is a fun craft to make and also a fun craft to give. Who wouldn't love a bright and cheery bouquet of flowers? This gets five stars!
