Rating: Summary: TRA-LA-LAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! AGAIN! Review: "Captain Underpants and The Attack of the Talking Toilets" is a good book, and I heard that there's two new movies called "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," and "The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers," well if you are going to make these movies you should make this great book with satire of a movie too, and i'll give it 5 stars, just like I give this 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: captain underpants Review: "Their teacher, Ms. Ribble might say that George and Harold were 'disruptive' and 'behaviorally challenged.' ...But if you ask their parents, they'd probably say that George and Harold were smart and sweet, and very good-natured...even if they were a bit silly at times. I'd have to agree with their parents."Dav Pilky's affectionate, "epic novel" further chronicles the adventures of George and Harold and their principal, Mr. Krupp, who turns into heroic "Captain Underpants" whenever someone snaps their fingers. Pilky unapologetically presents toilet jokes, body part jokes (the boys switch a sign from "pretty armchairs" to "hairy armpits"), and brazen disobedience at school. That's a warnng to potential buyers who can't stand this kind of juvenile humor. But the book is for juveniles (and those in touch with their inner juvenile). Pilkey's silly jokes, gimmicks (FLIP-O-RAMA), and self-referential chapter titles are inspired insipid fun, and not nearly as violent as the Three Stooges. More mature children will appreciate Pilkey's skewering of the traditional kids' book and his celebration of low-tech, non-glossy gimmickry. Oh, and not that it matters, but the evil Talking Toilets are defeated by the "Photo-Atomic Trans-Somgobulating Yectofantriplutonic-zanziptomiser" (or PANSY). 139 pages of fun and lowbrow humor. By the way, just in case you need to defend this book from literary watchdogs, tell them that "Publishers Weekly" called the first book in the series ("The Adventures of Captain Underpants") "the funniest book of the year."
Rating: Summary: Better than the first Review: George and Harold are back. Their comic book publishing business is in full swing. After turning the Invention Convention into a teachers worst nightmare they end up in detention and that's where the fun really starts. This book is full of the same "poo poo humor" of the first book, but I enjoyed it more. Dav Pilkey knows boys and the mischief they can conjure. Every boy I know under 15 enjoys Captain Underpants. I think they secretly wish they could have these kinds of adventures. Who wouldn't want to battle talking toilets with cafeteria food? In the end, Captain Underpants and wedgie power save the day. You can read the book to find out how.
Rating: Summary: captain underpants Review: George& Harold are back in an epic challenge to stop evil talking tiolets destroy earth.this book is so funny with lots of adventure. I like it and so do the kids at school.
Rating: Summary: A big Hit! Review: Great, possibly best of them all!C.U. must now battle the talking toilets or its FLUSH for the world. To let you know..... This book gets 1 star for humor,2 for intrest level, and 1 for suspense-and an extra for flip-o-rama,but i think flip-o-rama is a waste of time and pages. But it is slightly cool. This book is WELL worth 5 dollars.
Rating: Summary: Captain Underpants Review: He's back. The king of undies. The master of disaster. The leader of the smelliest people on Earth. When a crazy comic book character comes to life, it's up to CU, G&H to save the school. The Turbo Toilet 2000 has eaten the school staff along with his minions. They create a plunger to kill TTY2K. The plot is thin, but the humor is over da top. The humor is not as gross. This (unlike the first) is suitibal for all ages.
Rating: Summary: Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets Review: I read some of the other reviews and one stated that this was not a book for adults - true, it's not one I would have purchased solely for my own enjoyment - but enjoy it I did. My 7 year old son and I bought the book at the book fair and this is our second go round with it as a bed time book. We enjoy it as much or more each time we read it together. My 4 year old daughter can't wait to get her own Capt Underpants book. Thank you Mr. Pilkey for a book the whole family can read together - I am waiting impatiently for the next Capt Underpants adventure, I may even let the kids read it when I'm done...stay tuned................
Rating: Summary: Giggling Underpants Review: Never have I heard so much giggling and laughter from a little book! This is a good humored book for elementary ages children, they read and re-read these over and over, best [money] I have spent in a very long time!
Rating: Summary: Captain underpants and the attack of the talking toilets Review: The attack of the talking toilets is about two boys, named Harold and George who hypmotized there princibl Mr.Krupp so when ever sombody snaps there fingers he turns into captain underpants TRA-LA-LAAA!!! and captain underpants was faster then a speeding waistband more powerful than boxer shorts and able to leap tall buildings with out getting a wedgie oh sorry anyway what happens is this kid named Melvin and he was this smart geeky kid and a contest was coming up so he built this thing called the pasty two thousand and it mayed stuff drawn on paper into real things so Harold and George put there comic book on it and it turned the talking toilets into real things and somebody snaped there fingers and guess what happend Mr.Krupp turned into captain uderpants and well I'll tell you this he defeats all the toilets but then the boss toilet comes and I won't tell you if he defeats the boss toilet or not so you'l haft to find out by reading the book so get that book and sit down and read it, so that's all I'll tell you well see ya.
Rating: Summary: Totally outrageous and ha ha! Review: This book is the greatest book I have ever read because it is very amusing. When I heard that they made the toilets come to life I was laughing like crazy. I can't believe that George and Harold glued everyone to their seats and everyone was stuck. I liked the Pasty 2000 because all you have to do was put in a picture and the machine makes the picture come to life. I felt sorry when someone snapped their fingers and the mean old principal became Captain Underpants because Captain Underpants ruins everything. I give this book five stars because it is one of the greatest and funniest books ever. The best part was when George and Harold got to be principal for the day.
