Summary: Beauty Sleep keeps you WIDE awake
Review: ...: I think all of you out there should read this book. It has a meaning within the book. In fact, it has several meanings. Of course, all books have meanings in them. But this is a book with a true meaning...one that is important. This meaning is related to life and love, etc. It has quite a bit of vocabulary and concepts and phrases may be difficult to understand. Still, it is good. It is a twisted version of Sleeping Beauty. I believe that it is extremely well written. It has unexpected events and suspense as well. A good combination indeed. I finished this book in one day. That has got to stand for something since I pretty much hate reading for the most part. But back to the point, I think this is a really good book, one that teaches you an important aspect in life and so on. It's extremely rare that I give something, especially a book, 5 stars!

Story: Aurore is a princess who has been cursed since the day of her christening. Cousin Jane puts a spell on her, the ever famous spell, and Chantel tries to make the spell better so that Aurore will not die. As she grows up, she bonds with her cousin Oswald. When she turns 16, chaos reins for many days in her kingdom and strange things happen...raining blood...cats giving birth to ravens...Aurore decides it is time to flee. She runs into the forbidden forest that is said to be enchanted. There, she meets a man named Ironheart. She joins him on a quest that brings her places she never knew...within the forest..and within her heart. Despite the spells and curses cast upon her creating her destiny, Aurore discovers that love is the most powerful magic of all...

Summary: a very worthwhile read, with a nice ending
Review: After reading this book, then reading the reader reviews, I'm compelled to give my own opinion. This was a lovely retelling of the story, Sleeping Beauty. In her narration, the author offers up some important life's lessons in a very novel way (no pun intended), not to be missed. I picked this book up to quickly scan its contents before purchasing it for my twelve year old daughter, then found myself unable to put it down. The beginning wordplay was somewhat challenging: It was an effort to read and reread the same sentences to discern the storyline. However, once the beginning was established the plot developed a comfortable rhythm. About that ending...it was not totally unexpected (don't read on if you wish to remain clueless as to how it ends) and there was nothing objectionable in the least bit given the marital customs of that period in time. The ending wasn't disappointing. Simply put, I would say that it was...Charming!

Summary: Sleeping Beauty
Review: i just happened upon this book accidentally when i was looking at the story-tellers daughter for the hundredth time. When i saw this book next to it, i picked it up. It was a sleeping beauty tale. I love fairy tales, sleeping beauty being one of my favorites. I have read so many different versions of the story, i was expecting this book to be more of a generic version. However, I was delightfully surprised. When i took it home, i read it right away. I could not put it down. Page after page, I couldn't wait to see what would happen. Of course i knew she was going to have to prick her finger sometime, but the author told the story in such a way that i was slightly surprised in the manner in which it happened. Not only was the story uniquely told, it was also told from the view point of the princess aurore. this book managed to pull off a unique version of sleeping beauty while still maintaining the fairytale feel. I really enjoyed this book, and will read it again.

Summary: Great book- sick and wrong ending
Review: This book was a fantastic book and kept me hooked untill the very end. The imagry was wonderful and the main character had such spirit. This is part where you wonder why I gave it only three stars. The ending of the book was sick and wrong. It is definatly unexspected, but still sick and wrong. I won't give it away and I recomend this book to anyone who can just ignor the ending.
