Summary: Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie Woman
Review: Captain Underpants is my favorite book of the series. It is my favorite book because, when George and Harold ran from Miss Ribble at the wedding trouble happened. Miss Rubble was trying to attack them and accidently pushed the left pillar and bunches of food toppled over everyone at the wedding. It was like W.W. III.
Another funny part of this book is when, Miss Ribble [Wicked Wedgie Woman] was trying to get extra-strength spray starch. The spray turned out to not be starch but hair remover. She sprayed the so called starch and a huge cloud appeared. When the cloud finally lifted, everyone's hair was gone except for Captain Underpants since he never had hair!
This is a funny book. I loved reading funny books. I loved reading all 5 books in the series.
All the Captain Underpants books have turn me onto reading. Now I love to read!!!!
I can't wait to read the next series. Please hurry Mr. Dave Pilkey!

Summary: Captain Underpants and the wrath of the wicked wedgie woman
Review: Captain Underpants the fifth epic novel tells the truth when it says action, terror, and laughs
If you don't read this book you don't know what you're missing. If you are looking for trouble look no further. Come and read about George and Harold. George and Harold are always pulling pranks on signs, Mr. Kupp, and Ms. Ribble. Believe it or not there mean old principal is really Captain Underpants. There are five more Captain Underpants books that continue the laugher and action.

Summary: You'll have to read the book!
Review: George and Harold haven't changed much since the last Captain Underpants adventure: they still wish school could be just a little more lively. When their truly evil teacher Ms. Ribble announces she will be retiring and forces the class to write identical sappy cards to mark the occasion, the boys have a better idea: they'll write one of their comic books featuring the heroic Captain Underpants instead, and demonstrate their amazing creativity.

In the comic strip, Ms. Ribble becomes the Wedgie Woman. She wreaks havoc by bestowing extremely painful wedgies on her enemies until she is undone by the valiant but tubby Captain Underpants. Needless to say, Ms. Ribble does not appreciate the boys' creative efforts and they're sent off to the principal's office once more.

But the adventure certainly doesn't end there. It just so happens that in the office, the school secretary has left an unfinished draft the school's schedule on her computer. The opportunity to liven things up by rearranging the schedule proves irresistible and the boys make a few minor changes while they wait to be reprimanded. They also talk Mr. Krupp, the principal, into signing a blank card. The schedule changes and the card come together (as do Mr. Krupp and Ms. Ribble). Before they know what's happened, Mr. Krupp and Ms. Ribble are engaged, despite their objections. The wedding is a disaster and suddenly The Wedgie Woman, who started out as a figment of George and Harold's collective imagination, becomes real. Will Captain Underpants be able to vanquish his foe once again? You'll just have to read the book to find out!

Review: I am reviewing the book Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie Woman by Dav Pilkey. George and Harold are the troublemaking boys who attend Jerome Horwitz Elementary school. With their 3-D Hypno-ring they hypnotized their principal Mr. Krupp to become the most famous hero, Captain Underpants. They also hypnotized their teacher to become the nicest teacher ever, but she became a super villain. She transforms into the Wicked Wedgie Woman. To find out more read this great book.

Summary: Funny & sloppy epic novel
Review: I love this book. Captain Uunderpants shows that not all authors have to be boring and dignafied. Dav Pilkey has a way of taking toilet paper and turning it into the funniest, most comical thing you ever read. George and Harold are not your average 9-year old, trouble-makin kids. They make their own comic books and have an unusually great variety of crude toilet humor. I love the mispelled words and crummy, unbalanced, and uneven sketches of comics. George and Harold also have a secret, they once hypnotized their principal [Mr. Krupp] and turned him into Captain Underpants. With each comic book that George and Harold make Captain Underpants becomes stronger. If in their Comic book Captain Underpants gets a knee injury by falling dow a flight of stairs, when Mr. Krupp turns into Captain Underpants, he will be limping. This book was a perfect, well blended, humourous Dav Pilkey book.

Summary: Parental guidance suggested
Review: I'm not one of those people who thinks toilet humor books should be burned--I love the Captain Underpants series. However, I was disappointed in this one. It wasn't because of the toilet humor--I used to work with kids, and they love it. Rather, it was because of the incident that provokes the major conflict of this story. The hypno-ring (which made Mr. Krupp into Capt. Underpants), unbeknownst to George and Harold but knownst to the reader, behaves contrary to the user's intentions when used on women (so if you say "You will give me an A" to a female teacher while using the hypno-ring, she will give you an F). This implies that being male is the natural state of humanity, and that it is women who are "the other." I was offended by that, and I'm a man--after all, few people would tolerate this book if the hypno-ring behaved contrary to the user's intentions when used on nonwhite people.

However, sexism is the only major complaint I have about this book. It is the reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4. If you're thinking about buying it for a kid you know, please feel free to do so, as long as you explain the implicit sexism and make it clear that it's wrong.

Review: It's funny. Man I even liked when they made that prank on Mr. Krupp. This book is for everyone who likes funny stuff. It is the best Captain Underpants book. Every part was my favorite. (Typed by mom for a 6-year-old fan.) And mom thinks that even though it is filled with potty humor, any chapter book that a 1st grader begs to read to himself again and again can't be all bad.
